As of today I'm never coming back to this Ono AGAIN! Ordered by phone at 8:36pm and they said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up at about 9, payed, and my food still wasn't ready. I was waiting there 20 minutes while people walked in and out with their orders and me just sitting there. I finally got sick and tired that I just asked for a refund. I'll just take the drive to the Ono by USC. I was in the area so I decided to try this spot again. Ordered on the phone for pickup, but as soon as I get home, I instantly regretted it. The food is good , the staff are very polite and helpful . The service is average and the atmosphere is a bunch of messy tables and booths . The tables were dirty and the condiments table was a mess . The atmosphere made this place feel and look GHETTO . The staff was friendly and the restaurant seemed clean. The food was good like most of their chain restaurants. I took a star off because the kids chairs were beyond disgusting. It seems like they have never been cleaned. I tried cleaning IT with baby wipes, but the filth is so accumulated that it didn't do much. Grab Clorox or something to sanitize the chairs, daily! It should have never gotten that bad!
The wait time is 20 minutes and still counting just for two plates. They seem to prioritize their UberEATS orders and stack plates for delivery, while dine-in customers are left waiting for a long time without any attention. This is quite frustrating. When this restaurant first opened, the food was expertly prepared, likely because the older chefs took their work more seriously. Now, however, everything seems rushed and burnt. The younger staff don't seem to care as much about the quality.
When it comes to enjoying Hawaiian BBQ, I always choose the Hawaiian mix with teriyaki sauce and a spicy sauce. The Island Fire plate is also a great option that won't disappoint.
