My wife and I visited this restaurant last year and had a wonderful experience. We returned with my family recently, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The chilaquiles were cold, and my children had to send back their tamales because they were old. Additionally, the sauce on the chilaquiles was unexpectedly sweet. My adult children joked about my previous recommendation because I hadn’t been disappointed last year. Despite this, I still think it’s a decent place for breakfast, and I would be willing to give it another try.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, but my recent visit was quite different. It was clear that there is new management. We waited for almost 10 minutes without a word from any waiter or host. Meanwhile, when two American men walked in, they were attended to immediately. We mentioned that we had been waiting, and it was quite disappointing. Management should definitely consider training their staff to acknowledge all customers when they arrive.
Love the flautas with rice and beans.. It's my go to. Guacamole is always fresh too and of course you gotta get a michelada! My cousin ordered the fish tacos which she said were really good. Her friend ordered a bowl of menudo that he didn't care for too much, said it lacked spices and flavor. I'm not a menudo person so can't really comment on that. Overall, the food is really good and atmosphere has a cozy, chill vibe.
I hadn't visited this place in a while, but the food is still great. I ordered menudo, which I've always loved for its richness. Unassuming restaurant nearby our hotel. Turns out they make some pretty damn good food. Looks like a super friendly husband/wife running the place. Portions are large and I’m stuffed! Glad we tried them.
