After reading several reviews, we knew we had to check this place out. It was nice to see the old time tradition of serving of fried noodles on the table along with duck sauce as we sat at our table. The noodles were obviously fried in house and I had to ask for some Chinese mustard (it was amazing, sinus clearing amazing which was quickly served. We each had an egg roll with shrimp which contained 2 decent sized whole shrimp, surprised for such a reasonable price. Of course that amazing mustard was used again, a perfect delicious match. This is Marlene, Larry's wife. We both really enjoy the gluten-free Asian cuisine here. The gluten-free hot and sour soup is such a delight—fresh and flavorful! While I’m not gluten-sensitive, I’m thrilled that Larry can enjoy the foods he once loved. However, I did encounter one issue. I suffer from spinal stenosis, so I really rely on having a grab bar in the restroom. I was surprised to find that there isn’t one in the ladies' room. It might not be a big deal for most people, but I nearly had to ask for help today, which would have been quite awkward for everyone involved. Sometimes you just crave American Chinese food. The name may seem a bit old-fashioned, but the restaurant is clean. When we arrived, it was nearly empty except for one other group, but by the time we left, it was bustling with customers. We ordered the vegetable dumplings, a chicken and shrimp dish, and General Tso's chicken. Both main dishes appeared to be prepared with the same sauce, which we found to be a bit too sweet for our liking. However, everything was served promptly, and the service was quite pleasant.
This was one of the worst Chinese meals I have ever experienced. To start, the food was flavorless and tasted like it had been frozen for too long. All four dishes were either stale or had an overwhelming amount of cabbage compared to the main ingredients. The waitstaff seemed uninterested and unfriendly. Best Chinese food I've had in Marlboro. Everything is prepared fresh and tastes great. The duck pizza appetizer is amazing and a must try. White meat sesame chicken and general tso chicken. Have not had bad food here once. Highly recommend these guys if you are looking for Chinese food in the area. Nice sitting area inside but they also offer take out. They get busy for holidays. Food is legit good. Chef and owner are both lovely. We got to chat and meet them. Best chinese food in the area tucked in a little corner that might be hard to spot from the road. The food was good but very unhappy with the service. Also, the very disappointing thing was when I asked for the check they pre included the tip as 20% in the receipt, I paid it but I should have the liberty to pay the tip I want to pay.
