In November 2021, they finally reopened for dine-in service, and we were pleased with our experience. The food was significantly better prepared compared to the takeout we had during the previous nine months, perhaps indicating a new chef on board. All of our dishes were on par with what you'd find in authentic Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. However, the service was just okay, likely due to being understaffed. As for the menu prices, they remained the same as before, unlike many other places that have raised their prices or reduced portion sizes.
My mom, the lovely bride-to-be, and I love eating at this restaurant! We seem to dine here whenever we go out lately. The food is delicious, and the service is always attentive. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous without being overwhelming. We've also ordered takeout several times, and our orders have always been perfect. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place. It's fantastic! If you decide to go, you might just spot me, my mom, and the beautiful bride-to-be!
This family-run restaurant consistently excels in both service and food. They offer a fantastic variety of dishes, and the lunch menu is particularly impressive. The service is prompt, and the staff is highly efficient. You can customize your meal according to your preferences, and the chef is more than willing to accommodate. I have been dining here with my family for the past nine years, and the experience remains just as delightful as ever—well-maintained with wonderful food.
I really appreciate the portion size here. I ordered the General Tso’s Tofu and enjoyed the soft, pillowy texture of the tofu on the inside. However, I wished the coating had been crunchier rather than chewy and that it had a bit more flavor. I found the rice to be a bit hard and not sticky enough for my liking. I decided to give this restaurant another chance after a disappointing meal, but unfortunately, it only got worse. I ordered the orange-flavored beef, and what I received were large chunks of beef, big pieces of onion and green peppers, and just two small slivers of orange peel. My daughter ordered the General Tso tofu, and she found it inedible. We both ended up with severe stomach issues after eating. Service: Takeout. Meal type: Dinner.

The atmosphere was enjoyable, though I would rate it a bit lower at 4. Overall, for a price of $20–30 per person, it was a delightful outing!
I absolutely love lunch at Oriental Pearl. The portion sizes are just right, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The service is both friendly and efficient. Plus, you can order from the entire menu. I'm really happy to be back dining in person!
