Named for the family connection to Venezuela and its famous River Orinoco, this family run affair serves top notch local food, expertly prepared in a simple, no nonsense bar/restaurant. Having worked our way around most of the restaurants and bars in Town, this one won out in quality, choice and value, picking up an extra star as one of the few that made its own (excellent) hand cut chips. Fresh fillet of Tuna and gambas al ajillo are both highly recommended by us, accompanied by the exceptional Vega Norte blanco. Rabbit and various fresh local fishes also commended.
By far the best restaurant we have been to in Puerto Naos. The mojo was really like it should be and the baby squid grilled to perfection. Special compliments for the grilled rabbit with young garlic, the best I have had in many years. Excellent service, very fast and friendly. Prices were very reasonable like in most restaurants in La Palma. Minor detail for improvement, better to provide bottles of olive oil and vinegar instead of the plastic packages, although it was good quality.
Tucked away in a side street the Orinoco doesn't have any outside seating but is very traditionally furnished. Great tapas as well as a good choice of starters and main courses never made it to the pudding course as we couldn't squeeze anything else in! House wine was very good and they serve a very nice beer. Service was excellent everytime we dined there and always with a smile!
We really liked this restaurant, straight forward menu, food freshly cooked and some of the best calamari, chipirones and fresh fish that I have ever eaten. My wife ate meat balls, chicken and pork which were very good as was the mixed salad and pata fritas. Service was always good and efficient. No need to book we thought yet it was rammed with people waiting on 2 occasions. 3rd time lucky we had fairly traditional simple tapas type meal with indifferent service but it was arguably the tastiest food we had in PN. Limited wine list
Superb family restaurant! Food truly amazing and staff lovely friendly and prompt! Tucked off the main parade but well worth looking for it! Fresh food beautifully cooked!
Ate here a couple of times and had decent meals. Portion sizes were larger than we expected so didn't manage to eat everything! Good friendly service with no frills
