Sydney ist mit vielen herausragenden Food-Institutionen gesegnet und Ormeggio ist sicherlich einer von ihnen. Unter all den glitzernden feinen Restaurants, die ich ORMEGGIO nicht genug loben konnte, um etwas außerhalb des Weltgenzuus auszuruhen. Kummer Kummer Zwei Gerichte, die mich erinnern, erinnern sich an Ormeggio für das Leben - Holzkohle-Wagyu-Rindfleisch-Wange, Ozeanforellen Roe / Thunfisch-Crudo. Der Ocean For Trout Roe ist ein perfekter Anlasser für die herzhaften Kurse mit ihren blasenenden Poppern und Bronte Pistazien. Die Rotwein-Rindfleisch-Wange schmilzt sofort und überwindet das Problem "Rindfleischfett", das meine speiste Erfahrung in anderen Restaurants einschließlich Sepia,...

Sydney is blessed with many preeminent food institutions and Ormeggio is certainly one of them. Among all the glitzy fine dining restaurants, I could not praise Ormeggio enough for some its out-of-the-world ingenuity. Two dishes which make me remember Ormeggio for life - charcoal wagyu beef cheek, ocean trout roe/tuna crudo. The ocean trout roe is a perfect starter for the savoury courses with its blistering poppers and bronte pistachio. The red wine beef cheek melts instantaneously and overcomes the "beef fat" problem which spoils my dining experience at other restaurants including Sepia, Est and Lumi. Hatte das Ormeggio Signature Set-Menü, das ziemlich durchschnittlich war. Mein Favorit unter den Nahrungsmitteln, die wir hatten, war der letzte Kurs, der der Karottenkuchen war, weil es sehr gut ausgewogen war, nicht zu süß war, hatte auch das Kribus in der Hütte, und das Fennel-Eis war hervorragend. Kummer Kummer Einige der Nahrung, wie der Bottoni und der Kabeljau, waren für mich ein bisschen zu salzig. Kein Fan von Tartared Fleisch, so war der Kalbfleisch war mein kleinster Favorit. Das Wagyu-Rindfleisch war ziemlich gut, liebe den Kohl. Kummer Kummer Obwohl das Essen in Ordnung war, war die Aussicht ausgezeichnet.

We had the 7 course with wine matching and had a great night. Nicely plated dishes, great service, 5 out of 7 dishes were fantastic, 2 (suckling pig and the cold spaghetti) I could've passed on with the pork being slightly over cooked and extremely I mean extremely salty and the cold spaghetti was taken out a tad too early and wasn't quite al dente and was slightly undercooked however, the Buitoni was cooked al dente and was amazing. Had the ormeggio signature set menu, which was pretty average. My favorite among the food that we had was the last course which was the carrot cake because it was very well balanced, was not too sweet, had abit of crunch in it as well, and the fennel ice cream was superb. Some of the food, such as the bottoni and cod was a bit too salty for me. Not a fan of tartared meat, so the veal was my least favorite. The wagyu beef was pretty good, love the cabbage though. Even though the food was okay, the view was excellent.

we had the tasting menu of the cook with matching wine and were excellent, especially the linguins with tintenfisch and spammer basket. we will be back for it and dessert. the staff was very attentive, and we were good for the night. the cocktail was disappointing. we ordered that as our first drink and it did not arrive until the first cure was served and it was only half the part of a normal cocktail.

Beautiful restaurant. It's located right by the water and it has a warm, cozy ambiance. Service was terrific and we had the tasting menu. Everything was plated beautifully and every dish was a mouthful of delight. Plus they serve warm bread, which I love at restaurants! Highly recommended for a special date. You won't be disappointed.

Many many wow factors and it is totally a great night out for all sorts of occasions. The chef took us on a journey by logically setting their dégustation menu. Wonderful experience.
