Had picked this place for my sisters 15yr anniversary and I wasn’t disappointed! Good wine selection, duck meat balls are amazing, risotto di mare was so delicious and pretty big plate, my husband ordered the chestnut pasta which is so unique and very tasty, just an overall wonderful experience. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the owner was too. Loved the ambiance because it wasn’t too dark inside but very cozy and romantic enough for the occasion. And prices were so reasonable! You would be triple in Manhattan and getting far less on your plate! So happy I chose to go there! My sister and her husband found a new date spot!
We were the only people in the restaurant but our experience was bad from start to end. The bread was burnt how rude to serve burnt bread) soup was salty but ok, the mozarella and mushroom swam in oil. We received our main dish and basically left the place after 5 minutes, the risotto was salty it wasn't edible. Overall we will not return.
it was very tight. large menu with many classics, but both the kalb and steak were hard. caesar salate and baked muscheln were excellent. large glass house wine was also excellent. the service was friendly that they did not rush us. I'd try again if one could have run a night.
Apparently this menu is not up to date. I booked a reservation for brunch on a Sunday, since they have a brunch menu posted on opentable but once there was told they have not served brunch in 5 years.

Likely some of the best and most authentic Italian food I've had in New York and definitely in Astoria. Service is hit or miss sometimes but the food always makes up for it!
Celebrating my daughters birthday it was perfect. The food, the service and the overall vibe. This is a great find!
