The restaurant shows promise, but my first experience with their pizza wasn’t very positive. The crust was crunchy and the sauce was quite good, but the toppings—specifically the sausage, giardiniera, and black olives—had an off taste. It seemed like the sausage (or possibly another ingredient) was either stale or of low quality. Additionally, the cheese had an unusual appearance and texture. Overall, the crust, sauce, and cooking technique were solid, but the quality of the ingredients fell short. I might consider giving it another shot, but there are plenty of other options nearby that I might prefer instead.
The Pad Thai here is not overly spicy, which I really appreciate. It's perfectly balanced—hearty and sweet with just a hint of bitterness from the toppings. The texture is substantial, providing a satisfying mouthfeel that's not as thin as some versions I've tried in the past. Unfortunately, the Tom Yum isn’t on the lunch menu, but it’s a standout dish that truly made my experience special. In my 40 years of enjoying Thai food, this is some of the best I've ever had. Despite the limited tables, the food is consistently excellent—definitely the best Tom Yum I've tasted!
This is the pizza joint I've been looking for since I moved to Illinois from the east coast 8 years ago. I love east coast NY/PA/NJ style pizza and it's hard to find out in the midwest. (Its all in the dough, baby) Joe, the owner is from New Jersey,but don't let that notable handicap fool you... the man is a pizza genius. In fact, everything I have tried on the menu isfantastic. He also sells delicious pizza by the slice, which is always convenient for lunch or a quick meal. Lots ofvariety, including buffalo chicken and even a calamari pizza. Try it!
This place is AMAZING! Pizza's made hot and fresh with crispy crust! Best Jersey Style pie I've had. I often go on lunch and get pizza by the slice, and my coworkers and I LOVE it. Can't go wrong with the white pie or sausage! The owner is super friendlyand kind, and fun to talk with. This has definitely become my favorite pizza place! By far the best Thai food I had in the area of Chicago, connected with the fact that the prices are large and very affordable make the place more than worth visiting. The service is great and very friendly, albeit very editing and talks about some random things. The food is made by a cook that is actually Thai and comes from Thailand, which means that the food is as authentic as it gets. This place is openly amazing.
The food here is excellent and the prices are quite reasonable. Unfortunately, our experience was interrupted by the host, who kept sharing random stories. He spent more time chatting with other guests while we waited for our check and refills on our water glasses. I'll give this place another shot to see if his interruptions are less frequent.
I traveled to Illinois from Jersey, and my first stop was Orno's! I really miss Joe and his amazing food! I find myself craving his White Garlic pizza at the most unexpected times, so I decided to satisfy that craving this weekend! His laid-back personality also makes for fantastic customer service!
