Upon arriving I thought the place was very cute and had a very homey vibe. Walking in, the place was golf themed and sort of retro. We were greeted fairly quickly and sat down at a table. The menus were cute but confusing and also golf themed, with the prices being extremely high. We took awhile to order, deciding to first start out with clam chowder soup (the only soup they have, so don't even bother asking what the soup of the day is) and some onion rings. The soup was actually fairly good and didn't have a super fishy taste to it which I appreciated. The onion rings were strange and were orange. This restaurant is a local favorite for a good reason: the food is outstanding. The portions are quite generous, and we ended up bringing some home. Normally, I wouldn't recommend visiting a place when it's busy (like on weekend evenings), but this is an exception. When we went on Friday night, there was live music featuring a singer-guitarist. The atmosphere reminded me of a time when restaurant owners took pride in their establishments and collaborated with their staff to provide excellent service. This is truly the best Asian restaurant in Idaho, and it's definitely worth a visit.
Had the Huna chicken and fried rice. The flour wasn't cooked completely on the chicken, had only broccoli no onions or peppers and was supposed to be spicy hot. Rice was super sticky with little flavor. Service was less than desirable. Was there 15 minutes before the table next to us but was served 10 minutes after we had less food. Ask for a to go bag so I could take leftovers home to dog. The box was set on the table to us. Was never asked if we needed refills on our drinks. I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.
Met family for dinner while visiting from Oregon. Menu was interesting, kind of a mixed bag of items. Decided on the Korean beef, no rice and kimchi/pickled veggies on the side. My food was amazing. Husband ordered the chicken fried steak. He thought it was less than average, big portion but a strange breading. Served with mashed potatoes and gravy, he said all he could taste was gravy. Always a great experience here. We always have the Chinese food that tastes amazing! I brought more of my family this melody and they agreed that the mandarin chicken, fried rice, chow mine, and many others were the best they had, plus the prices are great here. The staff is very friendly, which is a plus! They would not think that a golf-themed sports bar would have such a variety as steak, American food and Chinese, but they pull it very well.
We were recommended this restaurant by a local doctor's office and decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with our overall experience. The food was served hot and in a timely manner, and the beer was nice and cold. The Mandarin chicken was a bit different from what I’m used to, but the rice was perfect! I will definitely eat here again.
Our waitstaff was awesome! We had a large group and she didn't mind that we were moving around, coming and going, and ordering at all different times. I wish I could remember her name to give her credit for a job well done. My garlic chicken was barely above ok. My friend's dish was delicious, so it just depends on what you order.
