This restaurant truly embodies the saying, “don’t judge a book by its cover.” From the outside, it’s tucked away in a corner of a strip mall and doesn’t stand out, but inside, it reveals a surprisingly charming and cozy mom-and-pop vibe, complete with friendly and attentive service and delicious food. They have an extensive sushi menu that covers all your nigiri and roll cravings. Orders over $10 include a bowl of miso soup and a small side salad, making it a great lunch deal. I can confidently say that I will be returning as a regular customer.
I visit this restaurant three to four times a week, and I really appreciate their simpler sushi and sashimi selections. While some of the elaborate rolls are excellent, they tend to be quite filling, which limits my ability to explore different dishes. I still want to try more of their cooked food offerings; I've heard the Korean dishes are quite good as well. I do wish they had a wider selection of sake or beer, although they might just not be listed on the menu.
Authentic, clean, nice quaint atmosphere, very professional and respectful staff. Traditional foods and drinks were excellent. I would highly recommend this place for those looking a great and reasonably priced restaurant to dine in. Dress is casual but would be nice for a date as well. Consistently excellent sushi. It's a small establishment, so dining in may take a bit longer than usual. I typically call ahead for takeout. The sushi chef is very skilled.
