No pomp, no circumstances, just delicious! Wow, the other five star reviews don't do Osaka justice. I had salmon, melody and shrimp nigiri and my brother had a few different Californian roles. You have the freshest FRESHEST fish I've had for years! The salmon was beautiful, the shrimp was solid (not rubbery at all) the tuna was cut so adeptically... I feel my words pale. I hope I can upload my teriyaki chicken video (you can hear the sound of angels) chilled plum wine, and I am in taste land! The service was the perfect amount of attention! Not around until you need anything, then magical. Speechless at Osaka! Amazing!
This is hands down the best sushi in the area. The taste of everything is just how it should be. I used to come here with my mother when I was younger. I now bring my son who is nine and we enjoy it as well. The staff is friendly food comes out and a great timely manner and it always looks and tastes amazing. This place has been around for years and I hope they stay. If you want authentic sushi this is the place to go plus the prices are not inflated.
This place exemplifies this old proverb, judge no book on his cover. On the outside everything is hidden in a corner, strip mall anonymity, but on the inside it is a surprisingly nice and cozy mom pop operation, with friendly and fast service and delicious food. Extensive sushi menu that covers all your nigiri and roll needs. Sushi orders over $10 come with a bowl of fog soup and a small side salad. It's a good lunch. I will definitely return.
My friends and I came here to eat. The waiting time was quite short and the plates are very large. What rejects me a little is the situation in courts. My yakisoba could have more noodles to Veggies. My friend also had a small bowl of rice for a huge chicken stall. This place has really good vegetarian options, like the sweet potato roll. In any case, you come and check this place if you are looking for a small piece of Japan.
Osaka is one of my all time favorite sushi restaurant in the DMV area. The inside has a homey feeling and the servers are amazing. The food itself is absolutely delicious. What I love about it is that it tastes authentic. It doesn't feel like every meal is over produced, it just is what it should be. The fish is absolutely fresh and the sushi rice is masterfully prepared. 10/10 recommended.
Really loved the ultimate tuna reel and Calamari appetizer... the other reels and Sashimi were fresh. Service was also great. Osaka is the best local sushi spot around (better and more consistent than Hanami, parking also easier).
