My nephew treated my husband and I to Afternoon Tea at Cafe Royal for my birthday. From the main entrance through to the restaurant we were welcomed with such joy and flourish. ALL the staff smiled and said 'Hello '.......I couldn 't believe it! The decor was fabulous! Beautiful artwork and mirrors...and a wonderfully talented pianist tinkling away in the background.......just WOW!! The service was absolutely WONDERFUL!! I can 't express how lovely it was! Showmo was our main waiter and he treated us as though we were the most important, and the only customers! His manner was just impeccable as he literally floated around us explaining everything and making sure it was all going well. Shekar...
I highly recommend this experience. From the moment we entered the hotel and were escorted to the grill room, to the friendly reception by the young lady who checked us in, we were treated like royalty. Our server, Shekhar, was extremely attentive. The staff even acknowledged my wife's birthday and brought out a cake while singing happy birthday to her, making her feel truly special. The afternoon tea was exceptional, with delicious and fresh sandwiches, as well as incredible cakes. They made sure to make us feel special, especially on my wife's birthday, and we can't wait to return. We plan to bring our adult children back for a special treat. for the first time visit the oscar wilde lounge in the cafe royal and was impressed by room and surroundings. warmly welcomed by the team there and especially impressed by the friendly and professional style of the team called jozsef, who was very well informed about the menu options. the presentation of the van gogh tee was great, but the vegan sandwiches were unfortunately not. the themed cakes, good selection of tees and the entire service of jozsef made the afternoon the most fun and pleasant experience.
We came for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a friend’s birthday and she was made to feel SO special. We had a fabulous table near the pianist and were made to feel like the most important people in the room. Our host was very attentive and knowledgeable about the history of our beautiful surroundings and gave wise advice on which of the many teas to try. We were served by two lovely gentleman’s Showmo and Gift who looked after us so well. They both were so attentive and friendly. Very knowledgeable. I will be recommending this afternoon tea to my family and friends. All staffs were fantastic and willing to show us around. We had an amazing experience. My husband surprised me with afternoon tea at Cafe Royal for our first wedding anniversary. Though it is a bit pricey, it is truly worth it for the experience. The ambiance is breathtaking and the service is top-notch. Our host, David, was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about all the teas. I would highly recommend it as a special treat.
Fantastic service from dedicated and charming staff. Full credit to Luigi V. and David K. who were kind, welcoming and informative, giving some delicious options we wouldn't nave otherwise tried. The service they gave was spot on and the afternoon tea delicious in gorgeous surroundings.
