We went to Oscars Hangout for breakfast and upon arrival were offered coffee. The coffee came and was watery. We ordered our breakfasts and after a while the waitress came out and explained that "they were out of peas" so one orders needed to be changed. Our breakfasts arrived a good 20 minutes later, cold and overlooked. Poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs. The potato rosti had to be attacked with a knife to cut into them. Disappointing meal, won't be back.
Oscar's are now offering a steak menu for their evening service. I am always worried about steak when I eat out, I am very fussy about how I like my steak and, inevitably, I leave disappointed. Not this time. My eye fillet was cooked to perfection and served with a smile and a genuine happiness that is hard to find these days. The wine was lovely and the atmosphere great. This is definitely my go-to place for steak....I am not sure anywhere else could measure up!
Was greeted by a lovely young lady who was very interested in our day and what we had planned, when reading the menus we were aware of a customer unhappy with their bill and giving the young staff members a hard time, the girls handled themselves with great professionalism and this did not falter the service of any other customer. We had a lovely breakfast and the service is second to none, we will be back if not for the friendly staff alone, keep it up!
I have been to Oscar's Hangout several times in the past few weeks and every experience has been wonderful. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I have particularly enjoyed the falafel wrap and muffins- the flavours are divine. I would highly recommend Oscar's Hangout for coffee, breakfast or lunch. Although with an unusual location these guys have an excellent and very friendly service. The bar has an excellent selection of premium Australian gins that are sure worth a try. We had a selection of tapas specially designed to go with and these were outstanding! Please do drop by.
Strange location for a bar in the middle of a housing development. Not a place you would make a journey to. Should be good for local people to use but it's hardly ever open when you need a bar. At the moment it's only open one night per week. Does have Wi Fi which can be useful.
The ambience was some what sterile but it was deserted. The coffee was OK. My daughter had the Hallmark hash browns which she thought were average. I had the sweetcorn fritters, light and tasty but could not get any smokiness from the smoked yoghurt. Prefer Hendriks.
Quite a varied lunch menu., however , we parents kids and grandkids went for the evening Friday meal the kids having just move into the area from the uk. Great food and very pleasant staff will go again when back in aus at Christmas . Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Had lunch with a friend here, food and service were great. Premises very clean, menu was extensive and prices very reasonable. Lovely ambience - a hidden treasure amongst this residential area
