First off, Ashley is an amazing server and so is the guy with the mustache. Now the bad, we were a group sitting in the back where the wine bottles are. We were finishing our meal and a large black rat climbed down the pipes from the ceiling and we couldn't find the rat. So we believe it went into the couch. See pic. The girls in the group yelled and were disgusted, with some mentioning that this is a health code violation. Further we had a large bill $2800. You would expect an establishment to apologize or offer compensation. None of that happened. Many members of the staff, including a manager walked by and didn't say a word. Ospi is a top LA restaurant that I visited for lunch. It's gaining even more popularity with Chef Jackson Kalb appearing on Top Chef. The outdoor seating with a view of Venice beach was fantastic, and the staff was friendly. We started with the must-try Crispy Provolone, a delicious appetizer. For our main dishes, we had the unique Breakfast Carbonara and the indulgent Giant Buttery Hashbrown. I had leftovers of the hashbrown for breakfast and lunch. It would be great if they offered more non-alcoholic drink options. Overall, brunch at Ospi was delightful, and I'm excited to see Chef Jackson Kall on Top Chef.
We celebrated my birthday here with a large party and we were all extremely happy with the food and service. Ambiance is hip and a little romantic with the dim lights at night. Ospi is one of my fave restaurants and I was a little worried if the quality of the food was going to be the same with a big group. Every dish was just as good as I remembered. My fave dishes were the meatballs, cauliflower, hapa pizza and spicy rigatoni. I also really enjoyed the hot girl summer cocktail which was fruity and delicious. Cant wait to go back!
I had no reservation, I was a party of two. We sat outside in the beautiful warm weather and had an early dinner. My rigatoni pasta was cooked to perfection. I also had a few glasses of wine. I couldn't stop thinking about the pasta, so I went back for more the very next day. The next time I go, I'd like to try it with ricotta and a similar style that Scopa prepares their rigatoni. I've given this place a handful of chances but the food is just not quite right. Consistently under seasoned, wrong temperature, or way too oily. I would be happy to pay their prices if I felt the dishes were up to par but it's felt like a waste of money. Wine is way overpriced by the glass. The staff is attentive and the desserts are very good that's about it unfortunately.
Came here for lunch and it was very nice and easy. Was seated quickly and the welcoming of the staff was nice. The staff and service were very friendly and great. Food is amazing. I think a must order is the crispy provolone and would get every single time. Nothing but good things from this place.
Wow! Amazing! Every single thing we ordered was delicious! The beef tartare was out of this world! All the pasta was so fresh, the service all around was great, our server Jamie was very attentive and informative and the kitchen staff was prompt and friendly! We will be back asap!
Tonight for dinner we ate at the best Italian place! The crispy provolone was sooo good and the mezze maniche was TOP NOTCH!! I loved the garlic bread too! The Hapa pizza was perfectly thin and crI will say it's a bit expensive for my taste but the service was good! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Food is good. Drinks are fairly good. Service isn't great perfectly nice but a lot of people standing around chatting when customers are without service.
