Was a lovely regular of mine where you can enjoy the very finest, freshly baked pasties and an array of lovingly made cakes. No farting around just honest, decent grub and a great location to watch folk wandering the North Laine. My issue with the service is down to the rude attitude of not the owner Ian and his wife (who are lovely), but the woman who is their shop manager. I will give an entirely honest account here: She knows who I am because we have bantered weekly for months but it is mostly around being absolutely awkward with me always. The gluten free pastry was incredibly disappointing. £8.50 for a mediocre sized pastry that was warmed up for me, in the microwave, this should have been warning enough. The pastry was lacking any flavour which was the cherry on top. I respect it can be awkward catering for gluten free but this is just not how you do it. I’d honestly recommend removing this from your menu if you insist on charging £8.50 for it. Atleast the gluten free cakes looked nice….
Bought a gluten free Meat pasty. It was the worst pasty I've ever eaten, pastry bad filling awful. £8.50 very over priced wouldn't give 50p for it. Don't recommend it to anyone animal or human,don't think Even the seagulls would eat it.
Best cakes in the whole of Brighton , Hands down. Delicious, a vegan stoners dream come true, even non vegans will devour the cakes. Proper cakes. Pasties are good too

Probably the best pasty I've had outside of Cornwall Praise indeed as. I have a Cornish heritage. And you eat them out of the bag eat in or takeaway. The only way.
Very rude women, seemed to be the manager or owner. Great place and food, but her customer service was rude and blunt.
Very nice place to enjoy a homemade cornish pastry in Brighton. Great selection! Highly recommend.
