Overall this place is awesome. Super accessible given that a pretty sizable lot is right in front of the main entrance. Casual but lively atmosphere and extremely friendly and helpful staff. They offered tips on how to eat the food without us having to ask! We ended up ordering the beef fat candle, scallops steak. All three dishes were *okay* overall, but pretty salty imho (hence 3 stars) on food. Def try the lime pie for dessert so good!!
Great atmosphere and food, but what really made our night was the service. Just attended a wedding reception and although they didn't have vegan food prepared, a cook (a guy with glasses and a dark beard, I believe named Abner? went out of his way to prepare my wife an entire plate of delicious vegan food. He didn't have to do that, but he made sure my wife had something delicious to eat that night and it meant the world to us.
Wonderful candlelit dinner. Very busy, so service was a bit slow. Most dishes are pretty tasty. I highly recommend the steak they have on the menu. It is one of the most flavorful I have ever tasted. The beef fat candle was okay, but my family fell in love with it. Great place to eat with a large party, and the staff was very sweet.
We had the beef fat candle and the gulf fish. Menu didn't specify the fish but server said it was grouper. Fish was so good but the potatos were bland and cold. I'm 100% sure the potatos were supposed to be that way but I'm not a fan of cold, bland potatos. Beef fat candle did not disappoint. The broth and bread was amazing. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food and atmosphere were great. Our server, Chris, was very attentive and did a very good job of explaining the menu options and making recommendations. He took the time to quickly provide samples of a couple of wines so we could choose. I would definitely recommend it, and it's worth the drive to Pepper Place.
Every dish we ordered was a 10/10. I left feeling comfortably full. The servings are not large but I love that I can enjoy a few things off the menu. The ceviche felt very authentic to Peruvian traditional ceviche. I 100% recommend OvenBird.
I loved the butter candle but a number of the other items ordered were less enjoyable. Definitely worth going but not sure it will be on regular rotation
