I made a reservation for 5:00 p.m. a week in advance, which was perfect because we were the first ones there when it opened. My husband and I were seated in the front area near the bar so I was able to witness all the wonderful drinks being made. The mixologist was really good and whipped up a Smokin Maggie tequila for my husband. The taste was flavorful and the smokiness was on point. I ordered the special which was a glazed pork and tomato bisque soup, although they forgot the soup and of course I remembered after I left the restaurant. (Would have loved to try it) I ordered a side of their melt in your mouth brown buttered mashed potatoes, ohh mama! My husband ordered the steak and mashed...
I had a lovely time at Owen's Bistro! The food was pretty delightful and the ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice! I do, however, have to say their service is okay. ? Which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. For food we ordered: Appetizer: Ratatouille on sourdough ? Entree: The Pumpkin Pork Potpie! ? ? Entree: Ribeye Steak w/ button mushrooms truffle butter ??? Wine: 2017 Stags' Leap Cabernet I ordered a bottle of wine and wasn't given proper wine service. The server just came over, opened the bottle, poured the wine and left. Didn't present the bottle or give the 1oz pour to taste before pouring the rest of the wine. Didnt really give us the time of day... I know it's details b...
Portion size is meager/tiny according to any standard. After spending $50 per person, would you not expect you to have eaten? Service is so, food tasted good, but not enough. The menu has no vegan or vegetarian options, so after meal we asked the owner if they 'd consider adding vegan/vegetarian items in the menu, they arrogantly reacts all my customers know that they can order from the menu We politely asked if they 'd consider this known online for the new customers, they said I did not advertise. As customers for the first time, we felt very insulted.
Had an old town feel, but I found it a little expensive albeit very good food. Service was very slow that night, my son's been there before and said it wasn't the norm. But..... The owner came to our table a couple times which helped break the tedium. I just felt $58 for a small ribeye, yes it was tiny. Could have bought it myself for maybe $7-10. It was good though. I took my wife to dinner at this restaurant last night for the first time. I was drawn in by the menu, the owners' story, and the fact that it is locally and family-owned. What I loved the most was the atmosphere—an intimate setting with exceptionally warm and welcoming service. The food was very good, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner together. We kicked off the evening with some bread. Although the knife was a bit dull, forcing us to tear the bread apart, the rest of the night was wonderful. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was charming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We definitely plan to spend more evenings there in the future.
Buffalo chicken dish was good. The cheesy rice concoction was good too, gave a warm fuzzy comfort food feeling. You have to make your reservations online and also order your meal online just a heads up.
After seeing Owen's Bistro pop up as a recommendation for a steak, decided to try it out for date night. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Will definitely return. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Always a delicious meal! The service is top notch, ambience is really nice and the menu changes always keep it interesting with new things to try. A hidden little gem in Chino!
