I used to really love this place, which is why I still chose to drive here for the ayce even after I 've moved. I didn 't review the last 2 times because I thought it was just those times or that particular chef, but after getting the same results 3 consecutive times I feel it 's now a pattern and deserving of this feedback.Your rolls have TOO MUCH RICE. Sushi is all about a balance of flavors, which is why it 's supposed to be bite-sized because it gives off the impression of flavor-explosion with different textures and flavors when you bite into it. You can 't really taste the fish or the imitation Crab or pretty much anything else because all you taste is rice. I didn 't even know notice...
Ozen is an all you can eat sushi restaurant, with a 90 minute limit. The price is $40 per person, so you can opt to order al la cart instead if you only want to order a handful of things. This place never disappoints with the vast selection of items on their menu. The restaurant is not that big, so there will definitely be a wait on the weekends. The servers are very nice and the chefs are efficient with the orders. Each fish taste super delicious. Sushi is usually expensive, so the fact that you can get a huge order really amazing. This was my second experience with AYCE sushi, and I found this place to be much cozier and smaller than others I've visited. The service was prompt as well. You only get three opportunities to order, but honestly, I was already too full by the second round. I would definitely return if I had a sushi craving. The weekend/dinner price was around $38, which is pretty standard for AYCE sushi spots. A quick note about parking: it can be a bit tight, but you'll likely still find a parking spot.
The staff was friendly, and the food was quite good. There was a nice selection of dishes, and the portion sizes were generous. I really enjoyed the hand rolls, particularly the salmon skin roll! I love this restaurant, but I've noticed some changes lately. The menu has become less diverse and the prices have increased. I hope they return to their regular menu and food quality soon. Also, I'd appreciate it if the wait time for food could be reduced.
I thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers. The service was good, although it took a bit longer to get our second round order. I opted for the all-you-can-eat option, which had a nice variety, and we liked everything we tried. Food rating: 5/5.
