Our waitress, Mademoiselle Sabrina P., provided outstanding service! She welcomed us with a warm smile and attended to our needs with impressive efficiency. As parents of young children, we occasionally struggled to keep track of our surroundings, and those who have kids will understand what I mean. The bread grill is amazing! I loved the variety of butters they offered: pesto, tomato/basil, garlic, and regular butter. The selection of breads was also quite good, featuring multigrain, whole wheat, sesame, and white. The standout dish for me was definitely the risotto! I would have loved to see a vegan risotto option, but we enjoyed it with fauxmage instead. We were pleasantly surprised to find several vegan options on the menu. I ordered the Valentine's Day meal for two, and I was quite disappointed. It seemed like the oil used for deep-frying was very old, as both the calamari and arancini came out a dark brown. The penne with duck confit was overly saturated with duck fat, which the pasta absorbed, making it unenjoyable. The risotto was passable, but it had too much liquid and very few shrimp. Considering the price, I wouldn’t recommend it. My girlfriend and I ended up ordering food from another restaurant to make our Valentine's Day dinner better. The only highlights were the Caesar salad appetizer and the dessert.
On a brighter note, there were three birthday celebrations happening while we were there, and I was impressed by how the staff recognized the guests in a special way. I was delighted by our experience. With nearly 20 people in our group, everything went seamlessly. The food was outstanding, the ambiance was charming, and the prices were very reasonable.
We arrived at 9:30 PM and were greeted as if it were 7:00 PM. This was the only restaurant available for us to eat at on a Monday night. The service was outstanding!
The thin crust pizza with goat cheese is outstanding, while the pasta with a raw egg is more of my wife's preference.
