Figured as a Porkahaulic I would try this Famous Peameal Bacon Sandwich...Wow, How over rated!. This is nothing more than a slices of Back Bacon tossed onto a roll with your choices of lettuce, tomato condiment and all of this tasteless nothing served by a guy who really seemed to resent anyone who was a tourist he was helping at the take out part of the place....over priced...over rated...extremely underwhelming...Try to eat somewhere else as this and all of the food i watched being served for take out looked horrible....I know mine was...had to try another place for something good to eat.
We visited Paddington's for breakfast before walking around the St. Lawrence Market. The menu is full of options of no-nonsense breakfast, several items including local favorite peameal bacon. The peameal bacon is just encrusted pork loin - good stuff but not essential - but everything was good. Pancakes, eggs, potatoes - all no-frills food at a good price and with good service. Not a lot of space so I imagine things could get crowded and slow but our experience was very positive.
On the side of St. Lawrence Market. Relatively cheap food which taste pretty good, and lots of pints to choose from. We had the peameal bacon sandwich called the Oink. I liked it, my gal was indifferent. So nothing earth shattering but certainly not bad. The outside patio is an awesome place to people watch and enjoy the weather. Service was prompt and friendly. No complaints at all.
After surveying toronto, we fell on this restaurant at the entrance of the st lawrence market. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is friendly and fast, the dishes are good, copyy and affordable! We find all the local specialties and it changes the many chains! We're having a good time without taking our heads!

This restaurant is hidden in a corner of the St Lawrence Market and I definetely recommend you eat here if you want a place to sit down. The service is very fast, efficient and has a good humor. The food is very good, nothing gourmet but the portions are huge and very tasty. Recommend a lot.
We came here to try the famous bacon. In fact it was not really for me - I like crispy streaky bacon, this was not crispy back bacon. Never mind, the meal was good and substantial, and only 21 Canadian Dollars, including 2 tins of Diet Coke. Not bad.
Having visited the St Lawrence Food Market during numerous visits to Toronto, I had failed to lunch at Paddington's located on the west side of the Market. I enjoyed a delicious lunch on their outdoor terrace covered with glorious blooming flowers.
We wanted to try the famous peameal bacon. It was good but I'm not sure what is different about it, however the meal that it came in was very tasty and substantial at a reasonable cost.

The breakfast was amazing , only thing I'd change was that the poutine gravy be a little hotter as it came to me at room temperature.
Came here after reading TA reviews and it didn't disappoint. Situated on the edge of the market. Really friendly
