The restaurant didn't have any signage indicating that it was open, and as I approached, I was struck by an unpleasant odor. I noticed people smoking inside, and I felt their stares as they pointed and laughed, making me feel out of place. It seemed to cater primarily to a Hispanic crowd, offering only Mexican beer, and I didn't feel welcomed as someone who isn't Hispanic. The atmosphere felt very exclusive. As a person of Black and Japanese descent, I sensed that I wasn't accepted there. The staff seemed relieved when I asked if they only had beer and decided to leave. It's never a good sign when the crowd looks happier to see you go than to welcome you in.

Been living in Hawthorne for over 10 years and have always struggled to find a Mexican spot that makes tortas the right way. I decided to give the place a shot and I'm glad I did. I ordered the asada torta and it was BOMB! The bread on this torta is perfectly toasted! The meat was fresh and nicely marinated. I was a bit taken back when I realized they put mayo and mustard on the bread but it works. There's sooo much flavor on this torta. When you order this make sure you ask for some of their salsa roja, it is next level! The employees were super friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back here.
So far, so good. Carne asada nachos get two thumbs up; trying their chicken soup now. Looks like a small, family-run eatery. Husband really likes the nachos, and the caldo de pollo was tasty, dense and full of meat.

Come in this bar from his sick, coldest beer in town, design beer bottle, bomb Mexican food from Tacos to hot wings, come and enjoy yourself, pool table, and you can be your own dj for the night. Look at it...
worst bar ever lol. from the lack of selection of beer to their non existent food menu this place was basically dead. I don't know how they're still open
This restaurant is fantastic! They have a great selection of beers and a delightful atmosphere. It's really relaxed, and the staff is excellent as well!
Food here is amazing!! Love their tacos, quesabirrias, cocidos and the ceviche so good! Small place but, good food!.. highly recommend.. thumbs up

The carne asada tacos are amazing! The goat tacos with sauce are also outstanding. They have great beer, too. Definitely a solid place to eat!
This place has an awesome vibe! The micheladas and nachos were fantastic. It's a great spot to gather with friends.
