I did not stay in this hotel, but it is the one hotel (out of 14) that refused to refund our room deposit from 2020 when we were forced to cancel due to the pandemic. After just over two years and many emails the hotel finally refunded our deposit. But even the reluctant refund was not easy and took over a month. They would not simply refund my credit card, but demanded a Bank Certificate. I would never stay in ANY hotel that tried to profit from a worldwide pandemic. The management of this hotel lacks integrity, honesty, and decency.
Absolutely fabulous building, excellent service and top architecture. Úbeda is more than worth visiting and the Parador is the perfect place to complete a perfect vacation. We travel a lot in Spain and always stay in Parador hotels as we so far have NEVER been disappointed. The rooms are really comfortable and the town with all the facilities is all around within a few steps. Just outside is the tourist train to take you around to all the interesting places. The sunrises from the miradors are spectacular !!!
We visited this establishment in November 2022. It was rainy and misty so it was comforting to have a room that was dry, clean, and spacious to return to after long days of pounding the pavement. This hotel is part of a state owned system and it didn’t disappoint! You can stay here and be a queen and king in your own castle. We had no issues with noise and the breakfast provided was suitable. The staff were polite and we were satisfied with the rooms and decor, especially the dragons!
Marvellous architecture and features retained and cared for. Reasonable services and good value for money. Disappointing there was no complementary water in the room (none in the minibar either) and disappointing that the bar was closed at 23:20 thus denying a thirsty Scotsman a nightcap. Fine breakfast as well.
Great place for doing your own thing enjoying the sun on your own little terrace, very central exploring the city and meeting friends, and crashing out in generous rooms. Clean and modern accommodation, no pool, but lovely garden attached to the breakfast dining.
Rooms were chilly in October. Requested and received extra blanket. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Dinner was also minimal but fresh fish was delicious. Location is poor for tourists not much activity and not close to a pharmacy or shops.
The pleasure of staying in a historic mansion with beatiful facade and patio. Good restaurant also. Only drawback is you cannot sit outside, as there is no terrace and the patio can be stifling. An ideal place to visit Úbeda.
Amazing Parador in a beautiful old Spanish town. The historic Quarter is full of palaces and churches.
