I have fond memories of my grandmother cooking here in the 70s when George and Adeline were the owners. On June 15th, I'm excited to bring my uncle to Centerville. He used to be a regular at the Pale Moon when he was the Head Engineer who worked on Lake Rathbun. I'm really looking forward to taking him out for dinner! Do they still serve those amazing steaks? Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
Centerville is located on the map beneath the historic mining town of Mystic, Iowa! That's where this bar is. The name makes you wonder why it wasn't built in Mystic? But maybe it's close proximity is no coincidence! Anyway, this place has great cocktails! There are worthy souls here.
I always noticed this place as a kid during our visits to the area. This time it was open, and our group was curious about it, so we decided to check it out! It’s a typical small-town bar, and we ended up having a great time.

If you enjoy dive bars like I do, this one is a great choice. The atmosphere is friendly, the drinks are excellent, and Mandy is an outstanding bartender.
Great place to meet friends or make new ones...Friendly and cozy. Great Wednesday night steak night too. I recommend you stop in sometime!
It's a really nice place with an old-school vibe. Despite its vintage feel, it’s a fantastic spot and we had a great time there!
