Located at the Grafton Street end of trendy Oceania Walk, Pantry 51 is a great stop for breakfast or lunch. Delicious gluten free, lactose free, vegan or paleo food. Menu is fairly comprehensive with something for everyone. Coffee is REALLY good as well ! The only down side for me would be the lack of atmosphere as the decor is quite basic. I eat here whenever I am visiting Cairns and have never yet been disappointed with the food. Definitely recommended !!
Used to come here last year, think the service is still friendly, however menu has slipped. Had a pulled pork tortilla was VERY DRY! did not come with a sauce/dressing. The filling was mostly cabbage, with strong ginger and coriander ( which I don't like) flavours. hard to eat as filling was too large for wrapper. Kombucha was nice. Sweet potato chips were decent. air conditioning not working. probably wont eat here again.
What a great Paleo cafe. Good variety of different cuisines. The best sweet potato fries I've had anywhere. The meals are a very good size so don't over order. The weekly kombucha is very tasty. We visited this place three times in 9 days so I guess that says it all. We had both breakfast and lunch. I preferred the lunch menu but the kids loved the paleo pancakes for breakfast.
I guess the food is supposed to be good for you, but the place was pretty lifeless. Did not like the crumb on the schnitzel. However, the sweet potato fries were really yummy! A little on the pricey side, but I guess normal cafe prices these days. Good place to go if vegan, paleo or gluten/lactose intolerant but other than that nothing special. Service was not that great. I have been to the cafe a lot ! Love my OG bowl in the mornings ! And sitting and reading a book ! Food is great coffee is good. But the team is what really impresses me, I work in tourism and know the effort it takes for a good team dynamic. But these guys are great ! Keep up the good work.
Recently ate here for breakfast and the food and service were both great. Was rather expensive, approx $50 for breakfast and drinks for my husband and I-although this seems to be the average for paleo foods. High chairs also available.
I decided to try this place out with family and what a nice place to stop for a late breakfast! Fast service, and the food was great. I especially enjoyed the fact that they have home-made almond milk!
I always enjoy this cafe. In truth I couldn't care less about the paleo concept. I just like the food. Creative and a bit left of centre. Definitely recommend this joint. And not just to cavemen... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Service was a little dry for my liking but credit due where it's due. The coffee was absolutely spot on. Maybe the best take away coffee Ibe had up here in Cairns. Nice work Barista boy
