I am disappointed to have to write a negative review, but the Cacio Pepe pasta at this restaurant was not enjoyable. The sauce was thin and lacked flavor. Additionally, the Caesar salad I ordered was a small portion with minimal dressing and no cheese. This was not what I had hoped for after reading so many positive reviews. I do not plan on returning to this establishment. Overall rating: Food 1, Service 3, Atmosphere 3. Meal type: Dinner Service: Dine-in.
I hate to write a bad review, but when you spend money it's upsetting when you receive a poor quality meal. I had the lasagna it was dry with barely any sauce, tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for days and reheated...and the wine selection was not good either not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews...maybe we just hit it on a bad day? Pane e Bene has become one of my favorite places to go for a quiet dinner on a weeknight, or a comfortable choice for a date night. The owners are lovely and the food and service are excellent. It can get a little tight in the dining room, but I wouldn’t let that deter me from a future date. Always enjoyable.
The service at this restaurant was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food was excellent. The service was above average and closer to excellent. Owner was very personable and enjoyable. One waiter talked down to people if they did not understand the cuisine. All in all a great evening with family and food.
