Together with my family we have entered the place and asked for a table of five. We were told to wait- after 10 min we were taken to the place that was behind the kitchen in a ugly and old part of the restaurant that was totally different than the part we have entered and expected to be seated. After ordering the food we have waited 50 min. During this time when we attempt to call the waiter to ask why it takes that long, the waiter said one minute and didn't appear in next 10 minutes at all avoiding to even look at our table. When my husband went to the main restaurant to ask what was going on with our order they finally brought the food and the waiter didn't even say simple sorry for the w...
We sat at the terrace which already gives you the impression of disarray, all dofferent chairs, not very clean. There is only house wine of not great quality, a pity being in the Alentejo. We ordered antipasto italiano and pizzas. Ir was a very busy night due to the wine festival, but it took more than 1h to get the antipasto. This is something easy, no cooking involved. The antipasto was very disappointing. See pictures. Only standout was the (not Italian) ham. The pizzas took another 1h, so we are sitting at this point for more than 2h in the restaurant. Pizzas were ok, nothing spectacular. We thought the service was not good, almost unpolite, not prepared for a busy night.
I had an salad (with mushrooms) and the pasta with tomato sauce and speenich. the pasta was a little spicy, as indicated, but was really good. they had only one waiter who was English and she wasn't in our opposite, so it was the service a little slower, but I enjoyed eating!

Stunning food! Excellent flavor, generous portions, attentive service (Americans: check your impatience at the door), charming decor (don’t be put off by the less-than-charming exterior), convenient location.
Very high quality food. Very reasonable. Starter, pasta and dessert for two with a litre of wine for $60 euros. I am celiac, and enjoyed a delicious gluten free pasta.
Bedienung sehr freundlich, hat eine Vegane Speisekarte. Alles was wir gegessen haben war sehr lecker. Pizza und Pasta einfach super. Weiter so.
