Had a wonderful time to see my sister, other family members and friends. This was the reason for our trip from Los Angeles to Switzerland, to celebrate my sisters 60th Birthday on the top of the Saentis. The Brunch selections were amazing and very local,...which I loved. The regional live music was great for awhile, but after an hour you had enough, and it was hard to converse already when the setting was a long table. We all had a wonderful time even that day the mountain top was embraced by fog and you couldn't see anything. The most important part was the exceptional experience we all had, to take the cable car, get up there and then to be together with family. One comment, I have to make...
we visited today the summit of the Santis Mountains and went to the säntis environs restaurant for brunch. the personal was very helpful to speak with my sister in the right German and not to speak German to me and my wife to explain the dishes on the menu...and to give us instructions how to park later in apzellan village and where to park. the pork medals with rosette alpine macaroni, bratwurst with rosti were excellent games Swiss cuisine and the brot should die for! no look at the cloud cover, but this is obviously something that the restaurant cannot control, and we had a great view of the mountain. a really enjoyable visit and experience around many thanks!
view is amazing, service is more than terrible. they do not sit on people, so they have to fight their way to a table. After we had waited for more than half an hour for a table, the service that we had retrieved from the waitress was simply shameful. they wanted to take our order before they offered us a menu and the menu that we were finally given was only available in Swiss German. she ignored us when we tried to get her attention. we were so disgusting and 100% disappointed by the service we received that we have gone out. total waste of time and recommend no one who knows what human condition is. would recommend anyone who wants to waste their time.
for the sunrise it is worth coming to the säntis. the breakfast buffet is however beyond...Here you can look a lot from the buffet in the high box.Lovelessly prepared buffet in the wart hall, in poor presentation and questionable quality. the rösti tastes, erm no warning, at least a little after kartoffeln- plus the hard egg and the five minutes eggs (does not play a roll, is both hard) would be a freshly prepared mirror egg probably also not a giant wall- the müesli is a pampy tasteless mass- the cheese is well required locally, but for so long

This restaurant is one of two restaurants in Santis cable car station at the top of Santis mountain range. You have to take a cable car for 10 mins which runs every 30 mins to take up to 85 persons to this restaurant. We have...a free breakfast here as a hotel guest at Santis das hotel. Recommend.
Obwohl es sich um ein sehr geräumiges Restaurant handelt, bekommt man nicht immer einen Tisch am Fenster. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch. Ich würde sagen, das Essen ist für die Schweiz ziemlich gut, nicht nur für den Berggipfel:
Even though this is very capacious restaurant, you won't always get a table by the window - view is amazing. I would say food is quite good for Switzerland, not just for the mountain top :)
Kommen Sie zum Frühstück hierher!! Das umfangreiche Buffet ist einfach köstlich und die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend! Im Sommer gibt es auch Sonnenaufgangstouren, spektakulär!!

food and wine were good. service staff overwhelmed by the number of guests and therefore long waiting times. management should organize this better.
The panoramic view from this restaurant is outstanding. Unfortunately, prices there are rather high.
