We met our daughter and family here for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The beautiful weather made the patio the perfect spot to enjoy our meal. The presentation of each dish was impeccable, the staff were exceptionally friendly, and the menu offered a great variety. The mushroom pâté was outstanding. As an added treat, the Sunday farmer’s market was happening nearby, complete with live music and charming shops to explore down the street. To top off the day, strawberry picking just five miles away was a fun activity. This area is truly worth visiting, and it all begins with a stop at the Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro.
Pork chop was surprisingly hard to cut through. Beef Wellington was simply steak (cooked properly) in puff pastry, without duxelles, ham, or pancake. Waitstaff were professional, manager/owner (I hope) who interrupted our conversation to check in never actually introduced himself. Also, live music was outside but unhearable as windows (on a 73 degree day) were closed. On the whole, very disappointing for the price.
Paoli Schoolhouse Restaurant is terrific! I took my 98 year old dad. There is a ramp up to the back of the restaurant so that made it easy for him, (no stairs). The food forSunday Brunch is outstanding, the service is outstanding, the restaurant is lovely and beautifully decorated. It is consistently one of the best meals in the Madison area. Also the staff has a very good vibe. My family loves this place!
New favorite restaurant in the area! Pretty location by the river and lovely ambience inside and out. Live music added a nice touch and was enjoyable but not overpowering. So many good options on the menu and we were delighted with all our choices, especially the fresh asparagus soup and the beef Wellington. We also appreciate all the locally sourced options. Truly a unique and memorable dining experience!

I just enjoyed dinner at Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro, and it was fantastic. The mussels appetizer and Beef Wellington were among the best I've ever tasted. Our server, Lois, was warm, attentive, quick to respond, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was wonderful, making it one of my top dining experiences.
Fabulous meals! Everyone at our table of 4 loved their meal and the quality and presentation was superb. The music (acoustic guitar) was also very very good. We will come back and highly recommend this restaurant. It is my favorite Madison restaurant based on the restaurants I have gone to in the area.
Our first visit was great. We ordered the huevos rancheros and the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were delicious. A pleasant surprise was that they each had a touch of spice! We also enjoyed the cocktails we ordered. We will return!
we really enjoyed everything. my only thought was to be at the front door and at the winter winds, and perhaps a little private sphere at our table. the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

A wonderful dining experience again. This was the second annual visit for our guests, and we'll all looking forward to next year' return and more Chilean sea bass. Fantastic!
Josh was our waiter and made the evening enjoyable for my wife and three kids. The food is top notch and expertly prepared.
