I ordered food from the Papa John 's in Goldsboro on Royall Ave and when I got home there was a thumb tack in my food. I called the store, but they were unapologetic and said that they would just re-make my food. It is not a matter of remaking the food. It is the fact that there is a serious health violation and they completely ignored it. The person that answered the phone nor the manager offered an apology. I found it by biting into the food. Had I swallowed it, it could have caused damaged and on top of that, I am pregnant. It could have ended up with one of my children as well. As you can see in the picture it is rusty. Why would they even have thumb tacks near the area food is prepared?...
Ordered a pizza at 9:59 PM online because the Papa John 's website said they were open for carry out until 10:25 PM. I missed a call from the store a minute later because my phone had already connected to my car 's Bluetooth. I call them back, get a hold ofsomeone at the store and all they said was Papa John 's in Goldsboro, we are closed. and then they hung up. That is NOT how youfoster a good relationship with your customers. If you answer the phone you need to let the other party speak before you hangup. This review would not have happened if I had the opportunity to actually speak with the person that was obviously still inthe store and just didn 't want to work anymore.
The service began poorly but improved by the end of our visit. The presentation and quality of the food were initially disappointing; my pizza had to be remade because it looked so unappetizing, and I was shocked to find a fly inside it when I opened the box! They really need to address the issue with flies; it's unacceptable in this establishment.
The stuffed crust pizza was good, but we couldn't really tell any difference between the Cheesy Calzone Epic Stuffed Crust Pizza and a regular stuffed crust pizza. Perhaps I didn't actually get the new calzone version? On the other hand, the cheese sticks were fantastic—definitely packed with cheese!

Ordered a pepperoni thin crust pizza and got a supreme thin crust instead tried calling the store 20 minutes before they close and as soon as they answered got told they were closed and got hung up on. Worst experience I?ve had with this store and veryupset with how we were hung up on.
What an amazing team! The atmosphere here is harmonious, and you can really see everyone working together. The manager, Leo, was incredibly friendly! Keep up the fantastic work, everyone! I absolutely love the classic large pepperoni pizza—it's my go-to favorite!
My only complaint is that there aren't any in-store specials available. I had to place my order online while I was actually in the restaurant. On a positive note, I appreciated that the staff brought my pizza to me once it was ready.
The restaurant served an old cheese pizza with a sprinkle of pepperoni on top. Unfortunately, the pizza was cold, and the pepperoni was lifeless, lacking any warmth.
