Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. Been coming here for years, on various evenings including Mondays, Saturday evenings the odd week night, but the last few times the food hasn't been as good, it's like they are using cheaper ingredients, I've had most of the menu aswell, Garlic breads have been burnt, hardly any cheese on them, Calazone just tasted of onions peppers with a watery tomato sauce, my lasagne I had the last few times was tasteless I've had better pizzas from a takeaway, yes you pay for what you get, seen lots of staff come go over the years, now how can you call this an Italian when not one single Italian actually works there, they are all Hungarian, so to me it isn't an authentic Italian restaurant like it used...
papa luigi’s is a very lively restaurant, went here for the three course menu that was just £12,95 and it was amazing. the staff was very friendly and very attentive. eating was great, everything we had ordered was great. I had the fresh chicken wings (starter,) pasta with choorizo, sausage and huh in tomatensauce (main course) and the hot chocolate fudge cake (dessert.) the starter was amazing, the huhn was perfectly boiled and it came with a bit sweet chili sauce. the main course I had ordered was great, it came with a lot of sausage that was beautiful and the sauce really tasted good. This has been one of my local restaurants since I have lived in the area (forever). It has always kept up its reputation of a lovely Italian restaurant perfect for birthdays and celebrations. I visited this weekend for an evening meal and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were lovely and provided a great service and the food was very tasty, with generous portions. My niece is a vegetarian and has quite a limited diet, they were happy to provide to a simple spaghetti Napoli and do have a note on the menu highlighting the veggie and vegan options are available. happy medium. I go to papas for every local occasion, birthdays, engagements or sometimes just a meal. papa is a great restaurant, always packed, so it must be good.? I have about the most expensive item on the menu, at the lowest price, could not find anything yet that I thought was nice, not even ok, only very bland. all that is missing from this little place is something love to the detail, fresh taste packed food. Although I am at this place tonight, but for £3.95 I have no complaints! Mum's 70th birthday meal started a little slowly as what was promised on booking did not happen. However, the manager was very apologetic and the night went amazingly. The food was excellent the service was on point. The whole night went right. Thank you all at Papa Luigis for the perfect 70th birthday. Mum loved it.
Came here with the family and we ate off the early bird menu. The food was fantastic. Well cooked, hot and flavoursome. The staff were friendly and helpful. Can 't wait to come back.
Had lovely wild mushroom risotto last Monday at just £5.99. Mondays are pasta, pizza and risottos all £5.99. Exceptional price and quality. Will definitely be back for more.
