Fantastic roast for lunch! I ordered the beef and it didn’t disappoint, topside was clocked perfectly and the slices of meat (yes! I got 2! was sliced to a very satisfying thickness. Yorkshire pudding was lovely, large and puffy, I believe it was a butternut and carrot mash was soo tasty. Red cabbage was ok (not too much to say about it and the potatoes were 7/10. I prefer much crispier! And it was covered with ample amounts of gravy which was the exact right consistency to my liking. Overall experience was excellent. Staff were really great and the atmosphere (lunchtime on a Sunday was relaxed but getting busy. Would 100% recommend. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very welcoming and friendly staff, were accommodating even though there was a 20 minute wait as the restaurant was at capacity. The fish and chips were massive, you definitely get what you pay for. Atmosphere was wonderful with real candles, low warm lights and 40s music playing quietly. Will 100% return here again when I'm next in Liverpool. I don't know where to start as the food, service and entertainment were all great! In house singer/guitarist was excellent, all familiar songs to add and not detract to ambience. Food great, well cooked and delicious but be warned-huge portions! Staff so helpful and friendly though unobtrusive. Will return Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
