This restaurant is small and doesn't command attention in this low key neighbourhood. It is small and very busy, simple and has a warm environment. Tables are close together and it is easy to chit chat with those beside you allowing the wonderful experience of conversation with strangers. The menu selections are unique and the menu is small. But when your meal arrives at your table... it is a feast of colour, textures, aromas and flavour. Happened to be in the area when we wanted to grab some dinner before heading back to our hotel. We found this place to be highly recommended on Google and Yelp, so we gave it a try. We got the following: Rice and Pickle...Bowl with Pork Belly Mixed. The pork belly was good, but the rice was so incredibly wet and mushy, it was not enjoyable. Couldn't finish it. Following the high rating on Google I made my way to this inconspicuous little gem in the Quadra Village of Victoria. It?s easy to pass it on the street so keep looking if you miss it first time. The food is some of the best I?ve ever tasted. I got therein time for happy hour and tasted two amazing appetizers for $8 total. One was made from only chickpea flour and deep fried toperfection served with a delicious spicy sauce. The second delicious piece was grilled pork belly. The flavour was fabulous. I wanna share my experience I had at the restaurant. While having my dinner with my gf few weeks ago, one food delivery guy walked in and he was asked to wait outside as his order wasn't ready that moment and then another delivery girl...showed up, same asked her to wait outside. What's interesting is that when another customer came by I believe he phone ordered earlier to pickup his food was asked to wait inside the restaurant. It was drizzling and both of the delivery drivers waited outside. Trust me it's not a racial issue as all three of them belongs to the majority. Good food, nice staff, and cute atmosphere! Probably more ideal for groups between 2-5, though I'm sure larger groups can be accommodated for if you come early enough. No on site parking, but it was easy to find a spot around the block. However, I doagree with another reviewer about prices. I didn't mind it because I enjoyed the food in the end, but, for what you get, theprice does catch you a little off guard. Would still recommend going here at least once, though!
I want to come back to Victoria just for this restaurant. Every single dish was fresh, delicious, and a unique combination of flavors. Food came out at the perfect cadence and staff was super attentive. We ordered 2 smaller plates and two of the largerones plus a dessert which was a good amount for two hungry athletes. Also plenty of gluten free options! This is a BC farm totable style restaurant you don?t want to miss.

Went in for lunch today. Place was packed but was seated right away. Ordered fried chicken sandwich and girlfriend ordered charred brocolli sandwich. Mind blowing flavor. We will be back. Service was fabulous .
