Pasta e Basta is located on a corner half way through the village on the right. It offers Italian Mediterranean food. The restaurant spills out on to the pavement and can be described as rustic. We had pre booked and arrived to a great welcome. Staff were exceedingly friendly and we were soon served despite the restaurant being full. There was a kids' menu which was great a good choice including burger and chips and adults could choose from pizza, pasta, and meat dishes. We chose pasta and chicken dishes. The food was good commensurate with the nature of the restaurant. Staff were attentive throughout the meal and were particularly nice to the children. The bill was about E75 for four adults...
Well, just walked out after being publicly humiliated by the rather large lady manager, dressed in a scruffy black number... Explained I was an English man that wanted to practice French, ordered from the menu(in French)...and after 45 minutes had no food... I asked if we had been forgotten and large lady put her hand on my shoulder and announced to the entire restaurant that this man is complaining...never going back here... I do actually understand most French responses just didn't have the vocabulary to hand at the time...
Went for dinner as a couple, had reserved in advance (you should . Friendly service, English spoken, had pre dinner drink, two (big courses each and a couple of glasses of wine each, spent around Eur 50 or so. Great tasting food and good value for money. Good place to get filled up the night before or after going up Mt. Ventoux ;
Was on holiday for 3 days in bedoin, and went to pasta e basta every day for either lunch or dinner! If you're cycling mont ventoux, its got very good size portions for hungry cyclists, and incredibly fresh pasta! Really great service from all the staff too! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The name of the restaurant means pasta is enough , but in fact they have a variety of entrees and mains in addition. We only had the famous pasta tasty, and a good choice the night before biking up Mt Ventoux. May need to book ahead, as it is VERY popular.
Pasta e Basta is always on my must visit list of places every time I come to Bedoin. Advance booking is strongly recommended if you want to get a table. The portions are very generous and good value for money.
Love this place, best to book during the day for an evening meal as opening times can be sporadic depending on season. The set meal is ace, the food is generally great. cannot recommend enough.
