Our waitress was occupied by something other than being our waitress. After a 15+ wait, we finally ordered our food. My friend got the butternut ravioli, and I got the short rib ravioli because it appeared that the short ribs were the chef specialty. The butternut squash ravioli was a marvel! Dinner on a work trip. Typically an amazing and fun experience. Not really this time. Had a bite of burrata and a bite of mussels as appetizers. They were both good. Ordered the Penne Alla Vodka (yummy salmon! because red meat kind of triggers my gout. Got the Penne a la Louisiana. Sausage. And I hate broccoli. The server kind of did the are you SURE you want me to take this back to the kitchen attitude, indicating I should just eat it. So I did. Coworkers got a 3 course fixe prixe dinner that included dessert. The dessert looked less than impressive. Went there on a Sunday afternoon, lots of seating available. Our table was on an uneven floor so the chair wobbled on one end. Good options for vegetarians. We tried the avocado bruschetta 4/5 the toast was a bit overdone, taste was good. Rigatoni pasta 5/5 added veggies Capellini 5/5 added marinara cream sauce. Different version of marinara, tasted quite rich. Desserts Tiramusu chocolate pudding slightly bitter) was delicious.
Great ambiance, great food, service was great. Selection made by Chef Garcia was the best. I'm not Italian, but I love Italian food more than my Mexican food. I do not know if that is my blood. But when my friend ask me about it I choose Italians. Trattoria was a great choice and my friends were so happy to get the right decision. Make us to feel very special when chef came by to say hello. Definitely we will comeback soon

Last night we attended a winemaker's dinner at Pastas Trattoria. The wine served was of Caymus. We had a 5 course dinner. Each course was excellent. The wine was also very good. Rick Ring and his crew did an excellent job. A good time was had by all attendees. I highly recommend Pastas Trattoria in Pleasanton. The food is always excellent.
Not just a basic Italian restaurant. The flavors pop off the bruschetta and the pizza. Somewhat quiet, not too hard to talk with each other. Waitress was very sweet and very helpful. Thanks for the evening meal! Alexis was a great waitress, but dangerous nails!
The caprese salad was decent The chicken Parmesan was inedible- burnt, tough, tasteless. It should not have been served.
Food is consistent, and good Service, sometimes you might get a little neglected Ambiance is average but comfortable

I recently had a business lunch at this restaurant and, like my previous visits, it was excellent.
The lunch was perfect. We dined outdoors and both the food and service were excellent.
