Nachdem ich vor ein paar Jahren die Gelegenheit hatte, dort einer Hochzeit beizuwohnen, habe ich beschlossen, dieses Jahr meine eigene Hochzeit dort feiern zu lassen! Das Clos besticht durch seine Lage, Schönheit und Geschichte. Und natürlich die atemberaubende Aussicht auf den See. Aber die größte Überraschung war die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die Qualität des Essens. Über ihre Weine muss man nicht reden, sie sind großartig! Unser großartiger erster Eindruck wurde verwöhnt, als die Kellnerin unsere beiden Gläser Wein einschenkte. Meine Frau bemerkte, dass die Menge in ihrem Glas weniger schien, als es sein sollte, und ich sah, dass es tatsächlich nicht bis zur 1 DL-Marke am Glas reichte. Sie zeigte dies der Kellnerin und ihre Antwort war keine Entschuldigung, sondern wollen Sie mehr!? Sie gab mir das Glas meiner Frau, aber nicht meines, das ich auch als zu wenig empfand. Man kann sich vorstellen, dass 1DL an sich nicht viel ist und bei 7 bis 8 Dollar pro Glas sicher teuer für die meisten Besucher ist, daher ist es das geringste Unhöflichkeit, zu wenig einzuschenken. What an amazing afternoon we spent “au clos de la république!” We ended there completely randomly after having been turned down very rudely by the lazy waiters from the restaurant next door “auberge du vigneron”. Thank god we were turned down in retrospect! We were greeted by Roman “au clos de la republique” who did an amazing job in giving us recommendations about different wines and who had a very impressive knowledge about wines/vinery. Had a wonderful afternoon last week with Mr Romain who took on us on a delightful wine tasting journey,not only with the great selection of wines but with the knowledgeable anecdotes he interspersed the whole afternoon with ! And a good sense of humor too .The place is too beautiful to describe- overlooking lake geneva, abundantly blessed by nature! With a very reasonable tariff for the wine tasting, prompt email replies by Nicole during the reservation process, the whole experience was seamless and delightful for me and my daughter--From St Saphorin to Cully it is definitely a paradise worth exploring and we would strongly recommended Mr Romain and his team at Epesses for a great wine tasti...
Ich kann es kaum erwarten, zurückzukehren. Dieser Ort ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Es war nicht Teil unseres Plans, hierher zu gehen, und wir kamen tatsächlich genau dann, als sie uns ansprachen. Herr Romain ließ uns trotzdem herein, zeigte uns herum und ließ uns ein Glas Wein direkt im Pavillon trinken. Der gesamte Gartenbereich ist bezaubernd und der Anblick - er brachte mir buchstäblich Tränen in die Augen, so schön war es. Ich bin seit 2016 in vielen Weingütern/Weinproben gewesen, da es meine Leidenschaft ist, aber nicht viele haben damit verglichen. Auch nicht in Kalifornien. GEH HIN!
We had such a wonderful time today in Au Clos De La Republique. Today my wife's birthday and all the staff there made it extremely special for them and for me. Both Francine and Nadia went beyond and beyond their attention and the information they provided. The wine was also fantastic. We have made many different experiences of this kind and that was really amazing one of a kind of experience. Very recommended!!
This was the highlight of our trip to Montreux. Francine as amazing and made our visit so special. We were traveling with our 11 month old and she was so welcoming. We were able to relax, take in the stunning view, and enjoy delicious wine that she recommended. We have been to multiple wineries all over the world and this was our favorite experience to date! Thank you again Francine for all of your hospitality!
Ich bin an einem Samstagnachmittag vorbeigekommen, nachdem ich problemlos einen Parkplatz gefunden hatte. Ich hatte eine leckere Käseplatte und einen Weißwein. Wir saßen draußen. Der Ort ist sehr schön, die Aussicht auf den See ist großartig, aber etwas eingeschränkt, wenn man weiter vom Rand entfernt sitzt. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.
We did our first tasting in the area here and Roman could not have been more fun or welcoming. We had a great time sampling their delicious wine with a fantastic view. Roman let us taste several grand crus and gave us a tour of the cellar. A wonderful day that well remember forever!
