Nachdem ich vor ein paar Jahren die Gelegenheit hatte, dort einer Hochzeit beizuwohnen, habe ich beschlossen, dieses Jahr meine eigene Hochzeit dort feiern zu lassen! Das Clos besticht durch seine Lage, Schönheit und Geschichte. Und natürlich die atemberaubende Aussicht auf den See. Aber die größte Überraschung war die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die Qualität des Essens. Über ihre Weine muss man nicht reden, sie sind großartig! Ich werde diesen wunderbaren Cocktail auf der Terrasse, das hervorragende Abendessen im gemütlichen Rotgoldzimmer und die super Party im großen Ballsaal im Obergeschoss nie vergessen. Unser großartiger erster Eindruck wurde verwöhnt, als die Kellnerin unsere beiden Gläser Wein einschenkte. Meine Frau bemerkte, dass die Menge in ihrem Glas weniger schien, als es sein sollte, und ich sah, dass es tatsächlich nicht bis zur 1 DL-Marke am Glas reichte. Sie zeigte dies der Kellnerin und ihre Antwort war keine Entschuldigung, sondern wollen Sie mehr!? Sie gab mir das Glas meiner Frau, aber nicht meines, das ich auch als zu wenig empfand. Man kann sich vorstellen, dass 1DL an sich nicht viel ist und bei 7 bis 8 Dollar pro Glas sicher teuer für die meisten Besucher ist, daher ist es das geringste Unhöflichkeit, zu wenig einzuschenken. After having the chance to attend a wedding there a few years ago, I decided to have my own wedding celebrated there this year ! The Clos is amazing by its emplacement, beauty and history. And of course, the stunning VIEW on the lake. But the best surprise was the kindness of the staff and the quality of the food. beautiful place in the vineyards to welcome you for a tasting evening of good wines from the city. a place that received the visit of famous characters such as charlie chaplin. the current boss remembers and tells us as if it were yesterday, while he was a little child during this visit. His family has owned this property for generations. He welcomed us with open arms and very warmly. In addition to the tasting we took part in a good meal prepared by its own cooking team: buffets of admissions of different dishes and desserts, everything was very good and good. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, zurückzukehren. Dieser Ort ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Es war nicht Teil unseres Plans, hierher zu gehen, und wir kamen tatsächlich genau dann, als sie uns ansprachen. Herr Romain ließ uns trotzdem herein, zeigte uns herum und ließ uns ein Glas Wein direkt im Pavillon trinken. Der gesamte Gartenbereich ist bezaubernd und der Anblick - er brachte mir buchstäblich Tränen in die Augen, so schön war es. Ich bin seit 2016 in vielen Weingütern/Weinproben gewesen, da es meine Leidenschaft ist, aber nicht viele haben damit verglichen. Auch nicht in Kalifornien. GEH HIN!
This was the highlight of our time in Switzerland. We headed to Epesses with no set plan, and was pointed here by some locals who'd actually been married here. And boy, were we thankful for their advice. Although they were closing soon for a wedding, that didn't stop the staff from letting us do a wine tasting and showing us around the wine cellar. We were so welcomed and truly felt like we were in a storybook with all of the phenomenal views. You will come for the wine and scenery and stay for the amazing hospitality. Thanks for everything! We're already planning our next trip back!
Came with a group of 28 and were presented with 4 wines. All were from Chasselas grapes. We were rousted from room to room for no apparent reason. No matter, we just followed the wine. Can't go wrong with a wine tasting unless it's at 8am as was my experience in New Zealand. The Lavaux region is beautiful. Our host was a young kid with almost no English speaking ability. I spoke French with him. We saw Patrick Fonjallaz from a distance on our way out. This visit could have been more polished. Thirteen generations of wine making at this vineyard.
for the second time, we went to the end of the republic to share a festive moment. the reception by the owner and his staff is warm, everyone is smiling and helpful. The view is always as fantastic. wines are always as excellent. Ich bin an einem Samstagnachmittag vorbeigekommen, nachdem ich problemlos einen Parkplatz gefunden hatte. Ich hatte eine leckere Käseplatte und einen Weißwein. Wir saßen draußen. Der Ort ist sehr schön, die Aussicht auf den See ist großartig, aber etwas eingeschränkt, wenn man weiter vom Rand entfernt sitzt. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.
