I go to Pause Coffee House (on Madison) 2-3 times per week because I work remotely. So I’m typically there for several hours each visit. Pause is definitely in my top 3 for coffee shops. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. The food options are pretty good too. My favorite food item is the bagel sandwich with a jalapeño cheddar bagel. They have decent pastries too. My favorite part is the environment: real plants; high tables and chairs (because I like to switch between sitting and standing); the rustic/iron and wood furniture and decoration; and good coffee. A couple of the female employees behind the counter are pretty rude. You ask them a basic question and they answer like you're d Why make an example out of a customer in front of other customers and your co workers? It was my first time I had never been there before. Not a great experience I hate being embarrassed like that. The 20 dollars for a coffee and a breakfast item wasn't worth all that. Don't come here, there are many coffee shops better who are far more friendly and deserve your money.
Wonderful location, great service every time. It’s got a cozy feel that is warm and inviting. The drinks are outstanding, far better than the Starbucks down the street. It’s worth passing up on another drive-thru coffee shop to come here and get a quality beverage with kind faces.Kid-friendliness: I usually have kids with me and I’m not alone in bringing children. There are hosts of people with kids, dogs, etc. It’s a friendly environment for smaller ones and I’m grateful for it!
Fantastic spot! I popped in here before my oil change nearby, and I was really impressed with the Butterscotch Latte and Chocolate Chip Cookie I had—they were delicious. The service was super quick, and it's a great place to relax. I'd give it a 4.8 out of 5 overall, and the food deserves a perfect 5 out of 5!

The atmosphere is lovely and the food is exceptional. Once you visit, you'll find it hard to go anywhere else for your coffee. Before heading out for a ride with my friends, we often meet here, and sometimes we end up spending a bit too much time! Definitely give it a try.
The service used to be great, then something changed. The Wi-Fi is slow as malaises. If you want an add shot you have to pay for 4 shots as they only pour doubles. The 12 oz and 16 oz latte's both only have 2 shots.
Great place with great coffee! It’s my go to in the area. Better than your regular Starbucks and their avocado toast is really good as well. If you’re a cold brew fan these guys have the best in Sacramento.
Super good bagel sandwich and I loved their chamomile rose iced tea with honey. Vibe is very chill and they were playing relaxing music! Enjoyed my time here.

Great corner-spot coffee shop. Nice ambience. Staff is very friendly. Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious, cappuccinos were out of this world. Thank you!
