Very sad to see a once loved gourmet burger place make the slow decline into a college dive bar. Our lunch order was simple: 2 burgers with fries, 2 glasses of water with lemon, and an order of chips and queso. We were there for an hour and 35 minutes, most of it waiting on food. It took our waiter 15 minutes to acknowledge us and get drink orders. You can't screw up water but the lemons were old and mushy. We ordered the appetizer with the drinks and it took 40 minutes to get us a bowl rainbow colored chips and a styrofoam cup of microwaved queso. The food was average, and the service was quite poor. We waited over an hour and twenty minutes for our meals. They seemed busy for the first 40-45 minutes, but then things really slowed down. I tried to rationalize it to my family, saying they might be short-staffed or overwhelmed by the crowd. Eventually, the waitress informed us that there had been a shift change, and they had forgotten our order. Just as we were about to leave, our food finally arrived. I won’t be returning. With much of Columbia being closed on Sunday we stopped at Pawleys. What a mistake. The atmosphere is beat up college bar. 2 of 3 of us ordered burgers. Both ordered Medium. However, both cooked different. Mine was rare. Red through 80 of the burger. The other pink in the center. I was told I needed to order Medium well. With that I told them to keep the food. The onion rings served were hard, and greasy batter as were our side crayfish tails. This is a dump I will NEVER eat at again.
I had a great experience at Pawley’s Front Porch! The veggie burger was phenomenal and the service was even better! Marcelo was a fantastic server. I didn’t have to ask for a single refill, he topped me off every five minutes and I didn’t even have to ask!! 10/10 would definitely come back!

Excellent service, excellent food. Service was timely and server was attentive. A minor problem arose with my order but it was corrected without any issue. Burgers were solid as well. Definitely recommend.
Appetizer fried green tomatoes were delicious. Neither one of us were a fan of the burgers. And toppings were very minimal. Little pricey. Staff was friendly.
Not as good as I remember. Burger was tough even though it was cooked to medium. Very greasy. I used to love this place when I was in college.
I was 50 years old before I had pineapple on a burger. It works! They had very interesting choices and sweet fries.
