We are from NYC, and the pizza is absolutely spectacular. Delicious Neapolitan pizza that is so unexpected in Scranton, PA. Sauce was on point and so was the crust. The pizza in the pictures is really what you get.HOWEVER, the service was awful. The entire restaurant was nearly empty, but we were told we needed a reservation and that they were basically pulling strings just to serve us. It was 5pm, and we were told we need to leave by 6:30pm because someone had reserved the table we sat at. After we were seated, the waitress essentially abandoned us after taking our order (the bus boy served us our food) and we had to ask the same bus boy for condiments and even for the bill. Some of the finest food in the area, run by folks that care about the fine craft of cuisine. There's a rotating menu, with fresh , seasonal Ingredients and a wide variety of fine wines and libations to enjoy. Chef and his staff maintain fine dining without a suit and tie and deliver completely on their end of the agreement. Really nice place, absolutely uniquely fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. This place is great and the staff is amazing. We sat at the bar and had the whipped ricotta, meatballs and the Bronx pizza. I thought everything was yummy, for me the sauce with the meatballs was too sweet and they were a bit dry. We had delicious cocktails, a Manhattan espresso martini. The place is packed so I would recommend a reservation.
This has quickly become one of our favorite dinner stops in scranton. We love sitting at the bar but for tables reservations are strongly suggested. We love the whipped ricotta, scrantonian pizza and always leave room for dessert and espresso. Wonderful service it gets busy but they always stay cool, calm, collected.

Wow $50,000 of the taxpayers money going to a restaurant …… Government Grants shouldn’t goto failing restaurants to keep them afloat. That’s called National Socialism. It’s amazing that the owner lives in Glen Maura and needs our tax dollars to keep his business running. What a selfish pezzo di merda Johnny is .
Food was good, if a little pricy. Avoid the cocktails--mine was overdiluted and had lemon juice from a bottle. If I'd seen the bottle in the fridge I would have ordered beer, but didn't see it until after I got my drink.No excuse for that at $15 a cocktail.
Food was overpriced the parking stinks. My daughter got Shrimp risotto it was oversalted disgusting. The only thing that saved the dinner was the whipped ricotta. Won't be back for a long time. Do better.
I moved to the Poconos in January. Bar Pazzo is the best Italian food I have had outside of the City. All 3 visits to the restaurant were incredible! Also always save room for the ice cream!

Chef Tabone never disappoints. We shared figs in the blanket! Delicious! Shrimp risotto, ravioli, duck wings, pizzas, all were great! 3 bottles of wine!
