I must be honest, I have loved Peck's since I was a child when they were at the old Waynesboro location. However, the recent experiences I have had at Peck's have been disappointing. My family and I have visited at least two dozen times recently, and each time there has been something wrong with our order. It has become ridiculous. If this is happening so frequently to us, then I can only assume it is happening to everyone. I feel like there is a lack of care and respect for the customers who have been loyal since day one. I have such fond memories of this place from my youth, but now I am hesitant to continue wasting my time and potentially tarnishing those memories further.
Called to place an order at 6 since Google says they’re opened until 7:30.. a young girl answered, I asked to place a pickup order and she said “oh, we actually close at 6”. I told her that it says 7:30 online and she said that they decided to close at 6 tonight and she only answered the phone in case it was her boss calling. I love Peck’s and understand things come up, but this employee made me feel dumb for not knowing they randomly close and hour and a half early on a whim.
terrible drive. 45 minutes had to go in to ask where the food was. When they finally came out, they said they didn't know where to go. then the food was cold. on everything that the order was incomplete. I asked for extra sauce, but at location and place did not get any sauce at all. the girl asked for a tipp in the window, so I left one on my card. I would have thought that they would have offered to return tipp.(Finally it did not deserve) no offer. I'm not here.
HorribleHonestly I could not believe just how bad it wasI ordered the chopped BBQ plate which comes with three sides. The BBQ honestly looked like cat vomit. Absolutely flavorless. Beans..basically drowned in butter with no flavor. Hush puppies were good. I'll give em that. Fries ok.How this place has been open since the 80s is beyond me. My first experience at Pecks was not a good one. The chopped grill sandwich was tiny, more like a slider, and the fries seemed to have been boiled in old oil and were soaked in oil. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The only positive was that the sandwich was edible. Hopefully this review will help others avoid a similar experience.
I've been eating here since I was a little girl. today we went in to eat and I couldn't even finish my food because the cook who just finished our order when into the bathroom with his apron still on. he came out and preceded to go back to the kitchen. all i could think about was what was touching his food and everything else back there.
I really enjoy the burgers and fries at this restaurant and I visit frequently. However, waiting over two hours for my food after ordering at 12:19 is not acceptable, no matter where the food is being sourced from. I would have stayed until closing time if I hadn't addressed the delay.
The seating capacity is small, but the BBQ is delicious, and nice and moist, not dry like some. The sandwiches are small though. French fries are delicious too. They only are open a few hours on Saturday. They have two outdoor picnic tables Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food is amazing!! Great french fries and quite honestly one of the best BLT’s I’ve had! So glad to have stopped by on my roadtrip.
