After a busy day out, my wife, son, daughter-in-law, and I found ourselves unsure about where to have dinner. We decided to go for some Chinese takeout and chose Pei Wei since it was nearby. We placed our order online and picked it up just 15 minutes later. Unfortunately, I wish they had taken a bit more time in the kitchen, as the vegetables were nearly raw. The broccoli also had an unpleasant taste, and the spring rolls were bland. Overall, it was definitely not worth it.
The food is comparable to that of well-known Chinese restaurant chains. The staff is efficient and makes sure your order is ready quickly. However, the portion sizes are a bit underwhelming. On the plus side, the quality of the food is just as delicious as what you would find at local Chinese joints. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in trying a different take on American Chinese cuisine.
The food here was absolutely terrible. I ordered the grilled Bourbon chicken, and it arrived with tiny, dry, over-fried chicken pieces scattered over some bland white rice that tasted like the cheapest option available. The rice was nothing like the typical bowls you find at other Asian restaurants in the city; it resembled sand instead. I highly recommend avoiding this place.
This restaurant has quickly become my go-to spot for takeout. The food is always fresh and consistently delicious. My only issue is with their packaging; I would feel more secure if they sealed the containers to ensure my meal hasn't been tampered with. Overall, I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10! Each time I've visited, my food has been fresh and served promptly. While the staff at the front may not always be very friendly, there's not much need for interaction with them. I really enjoy the spiciness in some of the dishes and appreciate the customization options available.
I want to commend the staff for their handling of an elderly man I saw there tonight. He was having a difficult time walking and seemed to be in poor condition. They called the police, which was the right decision!
The food was incredibly delicious! We were a group of nine, and everyone chose a different dish, but everything was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back. The service was also excellent.
