I have been ordering food from here for delivery for years and despite the odd occasion when it has been delivered cold or with bits of scouring pad in the kung po chicken, have been willing to put up with the long delivery times because it's generally pretty good. Normally I'm hungry and don't need to think about ordering enough to meet the minimum £16 value for delivery but today I came up 10p short. 10p. I was told I needed to order something else, but there was nothing else I wanted. I said they could add 10p to the order or I'd be happy to give the 10p to the driver, but no. They insisted I had to order something else. Ordinarily I'm a loyal person but clearly Peking Inn don't value loy...
Myself and my husband visited for the first time in months and its quite noticeable how the standard has gone downhill. We arrived at 17.30 so not long after opening and the buffet was already very poor in terms of availability which I found shocking considering that there was only one other table in the restaurant. To top that, the food was also cold and some dishes particularly tasteless. In terms of the restaurants decor, this has also deteriorated there was an obvious lack of cleanliness around the room with some suspect stains on the feature mirror which you can't help but notice. It's a shame that their standards have become so poor and will deter us from visiting again.
We visited the Peking Inn over the last weekend the places has gone down hill this last 2 years, the service was not good and the food was even worse, such a shame as this was a lovely place to go for a buffet Chinese meal, the food on offer is getting smaller no chicken balls no pork balls, the curry was enemic woeful looking, on a good note the starters that they bring to the table was hot the bbq ribs very nice (1 each) chicken satay was just about passable not there fault but I dont like prawn toast. My wife asked for a glass of water that came out straight from the tap no ice warm. I'm afraid we won't be going back.
Went for my daughter's birthday as she loves Chinese and haven't done eat as much as you like at the Peking for ages. Decor is very basic and needs updating. Food had lack of choice was very hit and miss with taste and texture. The self service area was crammed into a little area it would be better at the back where the dish wash area seems to be. It was much better when eat as much as you like was upstairs, the space, food and presentation was far better before. I felt the food didn't warrant the cost at all and we were extremely disappointed and will not recommend or return. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We should have been wary when we arrived on a Friday night and found only two other people in the restaurant. The food was dry, flavorless, and underwhelming. The staff were friendly, but their excuses for the poor quality of the food were unconvincing, such as claiming they have been in business for 35 years so they must be good. They promised to do better next time, but unfortunately, we will not be returning. To make matters worse, we paid £38 for two meals, one beer, and a flat coke. Never again!
Showed up to collect an order and found I’d ordered on the phone with another restaurant... not problem though, despite not showing on the menu, they catered for everything we wanted and more- a huge relief as we were ordering all vegan. The salt and pepper tofu with added chilli was the best I’ve ever had. Amazing food and really good prices. Lovely added touch of fortune cookies and prawn crackers. They even sped up my order as I was having to wait in the car for it. Will 100% be going back!
So tonight, we decided to treat ourselves and order Chinese! The lady on the phone was so polite and lovely, said our food could be up to 45 min wait (which is fine! but arrived in like 20 mins! Even better !! The gent who brought it in his car was lovely also and stuck to social distance rules! Food was amazing and even came with three beers, made my night ; All in all was the best Chinese take away I’ve had in a long ol time ! Thank you so much will be ordering again soon
Had an amazing take away in lockdown. The staff were friendly and they operated a great social distancing service. The food was gorgeous and the prawn crackers (always a good barometer in my mind for a Chinese) were amazing. Lovely meal, thanks Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
food plentyfull and hot service is always excelent nice variety on menu very good value for money shame its not open at lunchtime.
