The broccoli (listed as this on the menu) is actually broccolini, the brussel sprouts are flavorless, and the pizzas are smaller and less flavorful than a frozen pizza. The alfredo sauce is like if they took a normal amount of sauce for pasta, took a fourth of it and added water to make up for the difference. Called in an pick up order for lunch. This was my first time eating here so I stopped right at the servers assisatant booth like you normally would when you enter a resturant. I stood there for ten mintutes while multiple employees looked at me and walked right past me. I finally headed my way towards the bar where I see most of the employees standing and as I'm walking to the back I walk past a table and see that there's a to-go bag sitting there on a table and I see my name on it so I went to grab it and finally, an employee talked to me to question me about the order. We used to love Penne Pomodoro, and frequent it often. For some reason, they decided to try and make it more upscale, which in itself, takes the charm it used to have, away. More importantly the food is now terrible. Even the pizza is no where as good since they changed its shape, making it a little soggy. We've tried it 3 times hoping that the food would taste better. No, we had a terrible lunch today and will never go back. It's a shame to lose our family staple.
I ordered broccoli and received exactly that, which I consider an improvement! The service was outstanding. However, there were a few downsides. The dessert was quite disappointing—it tasted sour. When I arrived, I noticed the kitchen staff were yelling at each other, and that went on for quite a while. The restrooms are single-person only, but they have chairs in them, which is a bit odd. Also, the oil and vinegar served for the bread was not good at all!

The service is always great. In our group we have a few people with some food limitations, (gluten, and more complications). The servers make it easy to accommodate. This is always much appreciated. They served a table for 8 with ease, and kept the wine and cocktails flowing. Food is okay and at times feels dated (veggie medley pictured). But accommodating service and a wide variety of Italian red wines will keep me coming back.
My friends have been raving about Penne Pomodoro, so we decided to check it out a couple of weeks ago. It's such a cozy little spot! I tried the Mother Earth dish, which was absolutely delicious, especially paired with the tasty Focaccia bread. The pasta dishes on the menu looked amazing as well. We raised our glasses to a lovely Chianti. I highly recommend this place!
I visited for the first time last week, and I absolutely loved the food. Many restaurants in this area claim to serve authentic Italian, but very few actually do. This place offers some of the most genuine Italian cuisine you can find in North Dallas. I will definitely be returning!
I’m very disappointed with this place. I’ve ordered a couple times food here and I never had issues until today. I order delivery and for my surprise there was a piece of metal wire inside of the chicken and unfortunately for me I swallowed a piece. Unforgivable!!!

I love the food and atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing! The lasagna is so beautiful you almost hate to eat it. Try the roasted Brussel sprouts. I had never liked them until I tried them here. Definitely worth the trip.Food: 5/5
