Im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine Bar und ein Restaurant. Leider war der Koch an diesem Abend nicht erreichbar, sodass wir das Essen nicht probieren konnten. Ambiente schick, die Bar sah toll aus. Das Einchecken verlief schnell und wir wurden dazu gebracht, die Zimmer, Duschen und auch den Fernsehraum zu besichtigen. Ich glaube, wir waren in dieser Nacht die einzigen Insassen. Anfangs war es September, also vielleicht nicht die Hochsaison für Touristen. Am nächsten Tag wollten wir sehr früh losfahren, und weil die Frühstückszeiten nicht zu unseren Plänen passten, packten sie unser Frühstück schon am Vorabend ein, was meiner Meinung nach wirklich ausgezeichnet war. There is a bar and restaurant at the ground level. Unfortunately the chef was unavailable that night, so we couldn't try the food. Ambience wise, the bar looked great. Check in was fast, and we were brought upstairs to view the rooms, showers and also...the TV room. I believe we were the only occupants that night. It was early September, so perhaps not peak tourist season. We wanted to start the next day real early, and because their breakfast hours didn't match our plans, they packed our breakfast the night before, which I felt was really outstanding. And it was delicious too. Excellent place to recharge for the next day of hiking.
The place looks more like a neighborhood bar and its terrace than a good restaurant, But if you will enjoy the good simple food, Herens meat and cheese are great, and the cooks does wonders with them in the open oven. We went there again for drinks. Both pleasant experiences. There were alas a lot of flies. Watch out bedore you settle : it could be in all Evolene restaurants.Joelle
We have been here two times now and established continued excellent quality food and service. Do not let yourself led by the very common interior: you will be surprised by the excellent food that is served in this restaurant.We had simple lunch, but check out the picture of the goat cheese salad: it's a feast!We will definitely go back there once more this summer! Great un pretentious place where you can sample excellent meats. The signature dish is the cordon bleu, which is sizeable and nicely cooked, served generously with fries and vegetables. They also do an excellent tournedos, thick and juicy and the meat is cooked to order. We have not sampled their fondue, but can only assume that it is just as good as the rest.
Wir waren in der Pension, die auch wunderschön ist, und beschlossen, zum Abendessen hinunterzugehen. wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Personal war super freundlich und das Essen war köstlich. Der Salat, das Hauptgericht sowie das Dessert und das Ristretto waren alle erstklassig.
Honestly one of the best "fondue moitié moitié" I ever ate. Delicious dinner in a nicely decorated little restaurant with a very kind service. For this small authentic village of the Swiss Alps, it's a pleasure to find a place like la Pension d'Evolène.
We stayed at the pension which is also lovely, so we decided just to walk downstairs for dinner. We were not disappointed. The staff was super friendly and the meal was delicious. The salad, main course and dessert and ristretto were all top notch. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This restaurant is amaizing! You should try steaks, filets de perches, creme brule... Everything is homemade by a great cook! You should definitely go there if you want to try real Suisse food! :)
