had a wonderful experience during our first visit that it gave a very good impression. First off I loved that there is both street and public parking which made it so convenient. Inside is bright and spacious but if you like the outdoors, there is ample seating options there too. The staff are friendly and know their coffee beans well! they have seasonal flavors too and was happy with my Honey Vanilla Black Sesame latte. Although the pastries are limited, I loved that each one was just fresh and delicious! As simple as a plain and chocolate croissant was still enjoyable. I recently attended a latte art class at this restaurant and wanted to share my experience for anyone else considering it. The class was a bit expensive at $55 for a two-hour session, but I found it to be worth it. Going in with realistic expectations and goals in mind, I was able to learn a lot in those two hours. While watching online tutorials can be helpful, seeing the process in person and being able to ask questions made a significant difference. I appreciate the great class and will be signing up for the intermediate course next!
I have been subscribed to their Roaster's Choice subscription for around a year now and have absolutely loved it. Penstock does an excellent job roasting the beans, and I get two bags per month. I usually receive one of the varietals they have most of the year, and another varietal that is either seasonal and/or small batch. I have yet to be disappointed and always have fresh, delicious coffee in the morning.
Penstock Coffee Roasters is definitely the top coffee shop in the area. Whenever I am in New Jersey, I always make sure to swing by for my morning coffee. Their coffee is top-notch and their pourovers are truly exceptional. The baristas at Penstock are incredibly talented and always serve up outstanding drinks.

I have been here few times and never been disappointed. Ambience 10/10 , service 10/10 and fresh latte flavors 20/10! I particularly enjoyed the barista’s special “Wasp” last fall it was a blend of spices including freshly crushed pepper in an iced latte! What a novel idea I tried replicating at home too!
Love Penstock so much. Great coffee and ample space to do work. Wish they would bring back their food menu though! Recommend the vegan rye cookie if it’s available, it’s SO good.
Pastries here are truly delicious. Some of the best I’ve ever had within and outside the US. Wonderful atmosphere and coffee to go with the pastries.

Penstock is fantastic. Their tea is incredible and always satisfies. Additionally, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
