There was a lot of lettuce in the salad, with some pieces being quite large, which made it a bit awkward to eat. The tortilla shell got a bit lost under the massive layer of lettuce, making it difficult to find it for that contrasting crunch. It wasn’t a large shell like what you’d find in a tostada grande. Our beloved granddaughter joined us and appreciated having crayons and drawing paper. Her kids’ meal was supposed to come with milk and Jell-O along with her chosen entrée. I visited old town Montrose and decided to stop by this restaurant to try their margarita. I had a really good strawberry margarita, and the prices were quite reasonable. The large pitcher of fruit margaritas is just $34 and serves around five generous glasses. I rarely see chimichangas on menus, so I went for the mini chimichanga filled with chorizo, beans, and cheese. While it didn't taste exactly like I remember from previous experiences, it was still enjoyable. It came served with sour cream and guacamole, along with bottomless chips and salsa. I can't get enough of this place! Their chips and salsa come our so fresh!! The chips always warm and perfectly salted and the salas is so fresh with chucks of veggies. Taco Tuesday is a must!! Their crispy tacos are stuff and loaded with meat lettuce tomato and mile high shredded cheese. My favorites are the shredded chicken and beef. They also have street style tacos with asada, chicken and other types of meat. Their beans and rice are great and authentic. I also love their fajitas! They come with a variety of veggies piled high on a smoking hot cast iron pan!! If you are in the area and are looking for some delicious Mexican food dont look any further!
Growing up in Texas, I always have had a taste for Tex-Mex, and I enjoy Pepe's version of it a lot! I ordered the two item combo with shredded beef taco, ranchera chicken enchilada, Mexican rice and frijoles de la olla, and everything was tasty! They are often busy and the restaurant can get a bit noisy and lively but it's a fun atmosphere and the staff is always nice and attentive.

We arrived around 9:00 p.m. and there were many tables available for seating. Our order arrived promptly, I ordered the shredded beef burrito with enchilada sauce. The meat is very lean with no fat and very fresh and tender. I have ordered thisdish before and it is always served with consistency. We are always happy with the food, drinks and service here. : ????
As vegans, we usually come to Pepe's for their delicious chile rellano combo meals. We thought we'd try something different this time, so we ordered the Spinach burrito and Spinach and mushroom quesadilla combo. The quesadillas had amazing flavor, and we'd definitely order them again!
The place looked great, the service was nice, and the food was really good! Great music! Our first visit went better than expected, and we plan to come back with our whole family. PS We loved the chicarrón and guacamole appetizer and the complimentary mimosas with the breakfast menu
