We stepped in a little after 11:30 P.M. We were greeted by a friendly, young lady who explained there might be a bit of a wait as she was the only server. She asked if that was OK. We agreed that it was fine with both of us. She sat us and left our menus. It wasn’t long and she was back for our drink orders. We were ready to order so she took that as well, but I had questions about muffins. She said she was new, but would find out. She shared the information with us that she learned, and we ordered. We thought she came quickly with our waters, but she apologized for the delay. It seemed like we received our orders swiftly. My husband said his food was luke warm. My gravy was cold, the hashbr...
Had to get up and leave. Our waitress on three occasions was heard cussing and yelling about how she is sick of being the only person and she better not get slammed and that the company doesn’t care. People behind us had little kids. I was not going to stay and tip her for a meal. Very bad vibe 05/26/24 service date 10pm. Offered to pay for the soda she brought us and was told not to worry about it. She was just glad we were leaving
I was hungry for breakfast so we went to the Urbandale Perkins. I ordered the magnificent 7 and it was delicious! All the staff was very attentive to our needs, food was hot when it came out which wasn’t surprising because it didn’t take long at all. I was really impressed when the store manager even stopped by to make sure everything was good and that we were satisfied. Great value for the money, we’ll definitely be back!
The employees are a mockery of what good service should be. For one, don't sit there and laugh at employees, especially in front of customers. If this is how your employees act and managers aren't doing anything about it, then you allow them to do that with customers. The food itself was good, but the staff were being quite rude towards one another. One employee seemed to be getting frustrated, but rather than trying to de-escalate the situation or calm them down, the other employees started laughing. I'm not bothered by the employee who was frustrated but bothered by the other employees who laughed. That's very inappropriate.
Hubs was hungry for the Magnificent 7 so I tagged along. The menu has so many options but I chose the Build-A-Breakfast. Our order came quickly and was hot and delicious. I was amazed because it was a Saturday and very busy. The server was very attentive to all of her customers. This place never fails.
It was my first time eating at Perkins! It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great! My food was a bit cold; hence, having a cold eggs Benedict was not the greatest experience! Service was okay! I may try it in Kansas City, but not in a hurry!

I really like coming here for breakfast. In recent years, they have often introduced new toast breakfasts based on seasonal fruits. They are delicious!
