I’ve had many good meals here over the years, and their pastries are some of the best! Unfortunately, came here for the usual birthday meal and was sorely disappointed. They had a surprise rush and both our food came out burnt, and not tasting great at all. I are what I could and didn’t take the rest home. It was obvious that the cook was stressed and just turned our meals up on high high heat to finish faster… This was disappointing, but on top of that, after we ordered our dishes, the server asked if we wanted croissants. 1. Izabel, our server, was very inexperienced and actually forgot every single thing we asked her for and either had to ask again or just never got it cause she never came back! 2. Weren’t approached by Izabel, our server, for 10+ minutes after being seated. 3. Drinks took another 15 minutes to come out. 4. Coffee came out hot, not iced like ordered. 5. Then she finally took our food order and 30 minutes later realized she never put the order in. So an hour after being seated we just got our drinks and just now getting our food order in. 6. I came here with my 8 year old daughter for breakfast on April 8th. We were here to have some father daughter time and enjoy a fun meal. The tables are packed in very close to each other. We had to squeeze into our seats and every time a person walked by their clothes would touch us or we would get bumped. At one point my daughter was taking a drink of water and someone walked by bumped into my her pretty hard causing her drink to spill all over herself and the table. There was no apology. She was hurt and embarrassed. I talked to the staff and they said it’s been a problem for a long time but management doesn’t seem to care to fix the space issue. It made this meal a bad experience.
Thought we would try the SE location after a great visit in Vancouver. Atmosphere is great; however, the table was wobbly. Thought we would change tables but noticed the other tables near us were the same. Everything was fine but the potatoes were old/stale. Tasted like they had been unsuccessfully reheated from the previous day! Most disappointing. The latte was underwhelming too. On a positive note, the croissants and jam were most delightful! The food is always good. The pastries always fresh. My favorites are the mochas and the almond croissants. The Mediterranean salad is delicious. The Monte Cristo is greasy but delicious. The parking is always difficult so plan ahead if you have mobility issues. The bathrooms at this location weren't kept up. One of our favorite places to eat though.
We were celebrating my 1st year anniversary of learning French (365 consecutive days! . The food was amazing! I am a harsh critic because I am an excellent cook. I am looking forward to my 2nd year anniversary.
It's been a while since I have been here. It is as always. The baked goods are exceptional. The vaguely Continental meals are high quality. The cocktails are substantial and balanced. Highly recommended

I'm in Love with la Provence very stylish and nice sweet spot to get some breakfast. You want some out of this world pastry this the spot not going to regret going here
