I ordered three takeout entrees since my usual restaurant was closed on Mondays. The first thing that struck me was all the stickers covering the old prices. I was taken aback by the new prices; my regular spot for chicken chow mein charges half of what this restaurant does—literally half! I didn’t find the food to be any better here; in fact, I actually prefer the other place. My husband does like their Kung Pao Chicken a bit more, but I’m not sure he would feel the same if it were $4 more expensive. I don’t have a lot to add, but this is the best pho I've had among the seven noodle shops I've been to in Nevada. Unlike many other places, the broth at Pho Chopstix was consistently good—well-balanced and satisfying. While it may not be outstanding, it’s certainly enjoyable. If I were driving south from Reno to Mammoth/LA, I would definitely stop here. Traveling north, however, I'd have a difficult choice to make between dining here and stopping at Whoa Nellie Deli.
I ordered pho with a beef soup base, and overall, I found it to be quite decent. The broth was clear and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. However, the portion size felt a bit smaller compared to other places I've tried. Additionally, the soup wasn't hot enough to properly cook the steak, so it didn't reach the level of doneness I prefer. For my next visit, I think I'll request that they heat the broth to a boiling point before serving.
Delicious food, but the staff often leaves much to be desired. They are generally unfriendly and seldom check in on your table for refills or any other needs. During my last visit, I waited nearly 20 minutes after being seated before a server approached to take our drink and food orders, despite the restaurant having only two other customers at the time. Best pho place in town! The broth for both soup was really rich and tasty. The filet mignon pho was the best but the combination pho was also really good. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The design of the place is neat andbetter than most pho places I?ve been too. Would come back here for pho whenever I?m close by. :
I was really disappointed by the portion sizes, which have become quite small. For a take-out dinner priced around $10–20 per person, I expected more. On a positive note, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, scoring a 5 out of 5 in each category. However, the diminished portion sizes overshadowed my overall experience.
While visiting town on vacation we decided to try this place. We were excited to try the Pho but it was a total disappointment. Too salty, no herbs, barely any vegetables. The service was poor and it wasn?t even a busy time at the restaurant. Save yourselfthe distress and go someplace else.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive! The food was tasty and came out promptly! The portion sizes were generous as well! The decor was lovely too! I would definitely come back if we're in the area again!
