I have searched far and wide for impeccable pho and i have found it at this place. This is my ultimate pho joint. I have tried roughly 20+ pho restaurants all around Melbourne (Springvale and Richmond mainly) and can honestly say this is easily the best. The depth of flavour is insane, soooo good! Easily go once a week with my boyfriend. I always get the rare beef and it's delicious; the beef cooks in the broth so it's by no means rare rare. Absolutely delicious cannot rave enough about this place. Spring rolls are DELICIOUS too. Yum after writing this review I'm definatly going there for dinner tonight
Being a frequent traveler to Vietnam, I have had the opportunity to partake pho from many local eateries.The one that we had in Pho Hung is as good as it gets. Wonderfully tender beef, thinly sliced which is served with noodles in a rich broth.I ordered the large bowl and struggled to finish it.Ambience wise do not expect anything fancy. A very casual establishment with Formica laminated tabletops with a chopsticks and spoons placed in a container on the table. For ambience I would rate it a D minus, then again, I came for the Pho and that I would rate it an A++.
I love a good Pho, and in the search for a perfect bowl, i found this place.7.pm and the floor/tables were very greasy, and the whole place does not feel like it is cleaned daily.Staff tired and annoyed. i was the only non Aisan in the place.It is busy and no sooner a table is free and someone arrives. There is a central long table so a single can sit without taking a table of 4. The Pho is hot, strong and good, but a bit greasy and if you want Chilli you have to ask for it.Not my favourite, but ok
Im a pho addict! After 3 weeks in Vietnam eating pho for breakfast lunch and tea during our honeymoon last year, I just can't get enough of a fix when I happen to be in Melbourne or Springvale! I swear pho is a drug and that hit of chilli (if you choose to add it) gives me such a buzz!Pho Hung is amazing and takes me straight back to Vietnam. What makes the pho different here is the broth that goes with the pho. It is very tasty and does not leave a msg after taste which you get in many other shops. I had the rare beef with beef balls and the portion was just nice.Cleanliness wise, it is like most Asian restaurants/cafes which could be better but acceptable. Would go back there if I was around the Springvale area.
We went there for lunch twice this month. My favourite is its raw beef pho, while my wife likes its deep fried pork chop marinated with lemon grass and served with rice. Its beef was tender and juicy, and the pho was served with lots of herbs which enhanced its flavour. The pork chop was delicious with very tempting aroma. Really enjoyable.
Have tried a few places in Springvale, but have always come back to this place. Usually order small rare beef pho. Service is fast and the dish is more than enough for me. Located inside the main shopping centre, opposite the toilets in the centre and also opposite an Asian grocer. Cheap meal, open from 9am daily.
We both had rare beef Pho and the kids had Grilled Chicken on Broken Rice.The kids loved the chicken, it had a wonderful grilled flavour and wasn't overly Garlicky.The Pho was clear with slight globules of fat.I thought the broth was too salty although my wife liked it.Quick service in a very busy cafe. We've had a lot of Pho in our time from a lot of different restaurants in different suburbs, cities and countries- and this Pho is the best that I've found in Melbourne (in my opinion). If you love Pho I recommend you try Pho Hung!
