Encountered this Vietnamese restaurant while going on walks along the heart of Marrickville and decided to have a go. On Friday night the place wasn’t that busy but lots of deliveries though. The food came out super quick after we placed our orders. The beef pho tastes okay but not quite flavourful and the broth actually lacks a depth of spices and beef bone. The spring rolls and sugarcane prawn are good but the lemongrass pork is overly salty in the vermicelli bowl. All mains are at $20 price mark but personally I think it’s not good for value as of small portion sizes. Caught up with our besties and decided to go to PHD. Had the salt and pepper tofu, salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper eggplant, spring rolls and vermicelli spring rolls. This restaurant is super busy however food came out super fast! All dishes were absolutely amazing! the salt and pepper eggplant and salt and pepper squid were so delicious that you really can’t stop at just a few. The texture and taste were spot on and probably the best we’ve tasted. The tofu was also very delicious. The vermicelli rolls had the perfect balance of flavours and the dipping sauce I could have drank! …. it was that good! The portion sizes were very generous and the staff were all so friendly and hospitable...
Horrible food. Ordered vermicelli and salad chicken and it looks like vomit. They promised lettuce when we asked and this is what we got. Sliced raw beef for the special combination pho was dumped into their hot soup so was fully cooked. Not raw. Asked for sriracha and hoisin which is standard inclusion from all Vietnamese takeaway from Cabramatta, Bankstown, and many Sydney suburbs. But these guys wanted $0.50 per small thimble tub of a few tablespoons. When we ordered we asked how long it’ll take and told “only 5 minutes very fast”. We waited 20 minutes. They handed the bag without saying a word or looking at us. Not recommended
Have been there twice in the last month and on both occasions the food was delicious and the service very welcoming and friendly with the food arriving very quickly after it was ordered. There is a wide variety of food available on the menu. Can highly recommend both the Vietnamese Fried Rice Chicken) and Salt Pepper Chicken dishes. Pricing of the dishes is reasonable $18 for the Fried Rice and $24.50 for the Salt Pepper Chicken), although the portion size of both of the above dishes seemed smaller on the second visit than what was received on the first visit. Will definitely be back.

We came here a couple of times due to one of our friends raving about the food here. However, I personally don’t like the food here. I have tasted better authentic Vietnamese dishes and I can tell you that the dishes here are not authentic at all. It has a modern taste to it hence why everytime we dine in here, there are hardly any Asian guests dining in here. The food tastes very generic compare to other vietnamese restaurants around in Marrickville.
Sorry it's taken me so long to try this place. It's spot on, and probably a contender for the best Vietnamese in Marrickville. Big call! You have to get the salt and pepper tofu, even if you can't finish it. The pork and spring roll vermicelli, and shaking beef were also the best we've had in the area. They get busy, so plan your visit. They also serve their food in The Marrickville Hotel amazing, right!
Succulent tofu in an oyster sauce with crispy broccoli, beans, peas, carrots, in a tasty oyster sauce, a heap of steamed rice, and a fragrant and punchy vermicelli salad, a bun, with a spicey hit of chilli in oil. A truly sweet lunch at this Marrickville place. Next time I'll get the tofu and veggie pho. Definitely worth a visit.
Unbeatable Vietnamese food and unmatched efficiency by the staff! It’s a bit loud and busy but that all contributes to the atmosphere, the food comes out quick and is cheap and amazing. Worth venturing off the pho menu because while the soup is awesome their stir fry’s and pork chop combo plates are crazy

The fresh spring roll was so good!! The vermaceli was average sad only had one spring roll. The pork chop rice was yummy. The pancake could of been better if the pancake was less hard cause it hurt my teeth. Bit pricy 4 dishes and drink $80
