I have been a loyal customer at Phoung Yen for years, and there's a reason why I keep coming back! My Chinese family introduced me to this restaurant, and I enjoy it just as much as they do. They offer a variety of Western favorites, as well as traditional and authentic Chinese hotpots and broths. The food here is consistently delicious and of excellent quality. The service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is lively (I've never seen it quiet, which must mean a lot of happy customers!). This restaurant is part of the local community and we have dined there many times. It has recently re-opened from a much needed renovation. The inside has had a fresh makeover, giving it a brighter and updated look, nothing major but enough to notice the difference. Best qualities is its extensive & delicious menu and affordability. It was my pick for Mother's day, so the family and I dined here. It was very busy, which is a significant sign to me how good a place is and the flow of turnover was consistent. We enjoyed plenty of food and drink and devoured all our dishes. All six of us left very happy and satisfied and a great way to end Mother's Day.
This place is a oldie, but a goodie and is always busy! It has all the dishes you would expect to see on a Vietnamese/Chinese menu, however the dish that keeps me coming back time and time again is the 'Fried Quail '! It is simply wow! Usually I don 't like to bother with quail too often because it 's soooo fiddly. But this quail is so tasty you 'll be willing to get your hands dirty and suck on the bones!Overall a good place for an informal night out with great flavours and affordable prices. Check it out.

Affordable. Quite tasty. Decent serving sizes. Extremely fast service. I've been here many times and they always serve the food under 15 minutes. I tend to take advantage of the 3 mains soup for $45. Although the soup is bland and requires more seasoning, you can't go wrong with prawn pie, salt and pepper squid and sweet and sour pork.<br/ <br/ I must admit there is a little room for improvement when it comes to customer service however it is overshadowed by its speedy service and delicious food!
This restaurant was a great discovery. We went for dinner on a Saturday night, even though it wasn't listed in the entertainment book. We're so glad we went, as we had a relaxed and quick dining experience with delicious food. We ordered three main dishes and soup for only $40, and also brought our own wine for $6. The portion sizes were generous and we were definitely satisfied with the amount of food we received. We would definitely return to this restaurant.
Wow fresh and tasty. Funny reading the past comment on this place that they have NO Vietnamese Cold Rolls Vietnamese food just not just revolve around that this place has a huge range of food and the soup dishes a HOT and tasty. Traditional chinese and viet food with a Great value better then the high end places that only want to charge you with and packed with MSG. I see mixed reviews for this restaurant on Tripadvisor but on this my first visit to the place our family group found it more than acceptable.I gather it has recently been refurbished and its appearance was bright and pleasant.All of the dishes we shared were good and portion sizes were very generous.Service was quick and efficient.All in all we were happy with the meal and will be back

Yummy!!.. Took my team out for lunch, we got six main meals to share, rice and noodles + entree. Loved the crispy quail cooked in butter for entree, the true winner for the main was the salt and pepper squid. The only downer was the satay skewers and the curried beef.
Great service for a Thursday night. Value for money. Enjoyed our banquet meal. Will be back.
